    Nice...

    Rex, Woody and Poop.

No cap issue that can't be wiped clean.

Was previously rooting for Gamble, but now that we've found someone with an even swaggier surname - I want this guy!

Seriously though, he sure sounds to have his own set of tools of making ends meet and getting teams where he wants them to be.

Considering we're choosing between either other unproven up-and-coming guys or "failures" at the GM (since they've not been retained/secured) - I'd MUCH rather have a go with this Popp guy.

I think this club needs someone who can skillfully shed the old skin off this woeful beast with a completely new look on things.

By far the worst thing that could happen is that we don't break away from this course we've been on.

This is far from ideal, but least he'd be able to field a winning team in 2013 better than any other GM in one regard: plucking talent away from the CFL for cheap. Having said that, he's not the ideal candidate IMO.

He's not from the "Arena League" He's from the CFL and he's been getting some buzz the last few seasons. He was runner up in the colts GM search last season and he can be a possible good hire. Why the fuck not ? He has an eye for recognizing talent from the CFL, can't knock em just cause he isn't in the NFL. Yet.

I'm guessing most arena league GMs would be smart enough to know what the CFL is. :breakdance:

I'd like Tom Gamble and Hue Jackson.

We'll probably hire Scott Cohen and Cam Cameron.

I'd take Jim Poop at this point. Scott Cohen sucks.

As far as Cam Cam... that's status quo at the OC spot.

    Kill me now.

I like the idea of Poop as GM and Trestman OC if he doesn't land in Chicago.

Geting a quality guy is key. He seems to fit the mold.

He got his team to 10 championship games and they won 4 of them..hell, I don't care what sport it is he can obviously manage with a resume like that.

That's my biggest thing. He could be a great guy to build a team for Rex. He's probably my preference at this point. I would be very happy landing Dorsey or Gamble too. It's not like he's some schmuck the Jets pulled out of a hat either. He's a highly respected NFL candidate. There must be something that is keeping him from landing these jobs though.

I like this idea...hmmm....he would work hard trying to prove he belongs in the NFL, firstly.

Secondly...he has an eye for talent, clearly. I do not know much about him, per say, but I do follow the league and know that his team is always good. That's hogwash you people yammering on about evaluating "NFL talent" vs. CFL talent. A good football player is a good football player. Clearly he can pick out the best available for he and his team. Also, a dollar is a dollar. I'm fairly sure counting money doesn't change from one country to the next. Heck...I'd give this more than a shot. New blood and no re-treads if we can't get the 49'ers guy.

I'll tell you.....it's thinking like some on this board that is hindering his progress to the NFL. Many in the NFL, like on this board, think that if you aren't already in the NFL you are worthless...aaannddd....that is why certain teams continue to SUCK year after year.
