Rumors that Norv is interested in/will take the Cleveland OC job, or rumors that Chud is interested in Norv as his OC?

I'm SO glad we get to play the Browns next year...Rex needs to make it rain on Norv.

Hiring Norv would significantly increase the Jets' schedule strength. The Browns could potentially switch from rebuilding offensively to another try-out/build-around year for Weeden with more potential than the former (given Chud's penchant for running and Norv's QB development skillz).

I don't think it's going to go well for The Browns. Chud does not strike me as a strong head coaching candidate. There were better options out there and they settle on this relative unknown. No wonder they have had years of losing and I don't see it getting any better. I would love to see what browns fans think of this hire.

I love these two signings for the Browns. I think this will be a successful tenure for both Chud and Turner. The roster in Cleveland has loads of young talent. Weeden has shown some ability, and in the right system with the right leadership and development, he should blossom nicely.
And as the first former Hurricane to get a NFL HC position, I am pulling for Chud to succeed.

I'm happy about the hire. As VJ astutely noted, Chudzinski and Turner's philosophy is much better-suited to Weeden's strengths than Shurmur trying to shove Weeden's square peg into his round WCO hole. Weeden's NFL Role Model (in play only... not personality) should be Philip Rivers, so if anyone can get the most out of Weeden's skills, it's these two guys.

Chudzinski favors a downfield passing attack, which the Browns are actually built pretty well for. Gordon (size/speed) and Benjamin (elite speed) are solid downfield threats and should clear out giving Little and Cameron room to work underneath. Weeden's got a strong arm and our OL is terrific in pass pro... Weeden had all day to throw this year.

What worries me is rumors about switching to a 3-4... we'd have to blow up our entire D. My hope is that Chud, being a lifelong Browns fan (and an offensive guy anyways) knows where the strengths of our personnel lie and will stick with the 4-3.

Is Chud up to the task? How will Norv do swallowing his pride and working for his former TE position coach? These are the intangible questions that will have to play out. Winning eases all grievances, so as always it will come down to that.

I'm just glad they didn't hire Whisenhunt.

A guy named "Chud" as the head coach of the Browns? Priceless.

Too bad they didn't hire Poop from Montreal to be their GM.
