Why not wait until the new GM is chosen? If he answers to Rex then it will indeed be a disaster. But until he is picked and interviewed by the press is really is too soon to go crazy. If he takes the Jet job and blows off another then we will know he has the power. If it is a placeholder be ready more poor football. Rex really doesn't have a clue.

What direction is this team going in? What the heck are they doing? It is beyond dumb to make your new GM keep Rex Ryan. How are you suppose to get the best candidates that way? Maybe the new GM decides to keep him, but he must have the option to hire his own HC.
