Steelers | Roethlisberger OUT for Week 1 Sun, 3 Sep 2006 15:22:37 -0700 Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Bill Cowher said QB Ben Roethlisberger (appendix) underwent an emergency appendectomy Sunday, Sept. 3. The surgery went well, but he will be out for Week 1 and will be on a week-to-week basis. The team is looking to bring in another quarterback and QB Charlie Batch will start Week 1.
I don't know wheather to chuckle (damn obnoxious Steeler fans..take that!) or cry (see above fan reference). I hate both teams. The hubby on the other hand, has a black band already on his arm. I rubbed it in a little (ok..ALOT) and he's mad! Now he knows how I felt when Chad went down. :rofl2:
Rothslisberger OUT with appendectory ESPN has reported that Ben Rothlisberger is out at least their opener with a appendectory.....That Crash had an impact on his system that just now surfaced....
If Pittsburgh loses a couple of early games.......the Jets might squeeze in with a wildcard...........
I had it a few years ago as well. I'd bet that he's out 3-4 weeks, mainly because he's again going to be scared about getting hit in the abdomen like he should be.
Is it me or do you notice Fin fans posting this or the Ward news. I like beating teams w/ their full squads. Way to get an easy one fellas. Hope you still get filleted!
How lucky can you get? No ben, probably no Ward. If the dolphins lose this game they'll be in trouble.
The Steelers defense will keep this game close unless Batch totally messes up with turnovers. I don't think this is an easy win for Miami, not as difficult - yeah.
