FWIW... I hate these pseudo statistics. ESPN's qbr, these fucking guys... I feel like I'm on repeat ffs. It's not a stat. There is no formula. They use subjective ratings to tell the story they're trying to tell. It's the equivalent of recruiting rankings. However, I have used my own subjective ratings to conclude that I want to see Tebow play qb and that its lame the season is nearly done.

The accepted QB rating's biggest flaw is the way it overvalues completion rates. This hilariously biased and agenda driven formula magnifies that problem because it treats rushing attempts like completions. This takes an already shaky metric and makes it into something utterly ridiculous. Not unlike Tim Tebow himself. At least the blatant pandering throws a bone to Tebow's sadly yearning fans. Happy now?
Why shouldn't rush attempts by a QB be treated just like pass attempts ?> QB 1 has 5 attempts and 5 completions for 50 yards. QB 2 has 5 rushes for 50 yards. Production is equal between the two. Now, say that both QBs throw an incomplete pass. QB1 is now 5 of 6 for 50 yards, QB2 is 0 for 1 passing, but still has 50 yards by rushing. That rushing production should be accounted for and reflected in the QBs "rating".
I'm not sure if you're saying it is biased toward Tebow or what, but as Demos said why shouldn't all offensive production be measured? The scoreboard doesn't care how the ball gets across the goalline. By the way your bias is showing.
