Hopefully by 1/8, only Woody will be available.

This would be my guess too. Kudos to the Jets organization. I think they got this right by keeping their plans internal and the media at bay.

 

I would hope they'd take a little longer than a week to interview all possible candidates and decide on one...

 

by rule Rex has to address media this week, this doesn't make much sense.

 

Im glad they keeping silent and not saying a word. The Media trashed us all year long and now that we aint giving them nothing to go on they saying we are being unfair. They called it a circus and week after week tried to put something negative out there . So this is a new start and the media plays by our rules and not their juicy story nonsense they like to create.

It's been known for several weeks now that Tanny was out. I imagine the GM search had been going on for some time through back channels and third parties and is pretty far along by now. Now it's just a matter of the formal interview process and vetting of the candidates they have identified.

 

Jets are handling it exactly as they should be: close the doors until internally the decision is made. Only then hold a presser to inform the media.

 

I've read multiple times about this "1 week" rule, but could not find any references. Could you please provide a link to support your claim?

 

It is being reported on twitter that the "1 week rule" is a myth.

 

Fuck the media, Rex should've been there on Monday to answer to the fans.

After this abortion of a season, it's the least his fat ass could do.

If they really did violate the policy I wonder what the resulting penalty would be?
