I'm going to try to do this every week to see what people think about the gambling lines. Just your basic spread and over/under. Pick which scenario you think we will fall under. We'll see who knows the most about the Jets where it really counts!

Picking against the line does not show who knows the most about the Jets. The line is made so the betting is a dead 50/50. That's the goal of every bookkeeper. They want the bests 50/50 so they collect the vig and everyone is happy. The line does not always reflect a prediction of the game. They aren't trying to get the score to be a dead tie. They want the $ bet to be a dead tie. That's a huge distinction.
The line I found is Jets getting 2.5 with a total points of 36. In that case I'm taking the Jets with the over (Jets 20 - Titans 17). Probably just my homerism talking....
Yeah, you never heard of a 2 team 7 point tease? See what you do is adjust the line 7 points in 2 seperate games (sides or totals), but ya gotta win both games. Get it?
No, I don't mess with any of that stuff. Thanks for the explanation. I might look into that to see more examples of how it works. Not that I'd ever bet that way. Was the "Get it?" necessary? Sounded condescending to me. Oh, by the way, in case it is lost on anybody- champ referred to the Patriots as the "NEPs" last week.
