Sorry to sidetrack the real football concerns on this board, but I have L.Coles as a WR and was wondering with all of the talk of trading him, if he was still injured or not looking good in camp. I thought he was the starting WR of the Jets going into the season, but I haven't been keeping up with Jets news enough to know. So what's the deal on this guy? Should I keep him on my team?
there was a rumor about looking to move him, but mangini in one of his Press confs. sort of rejected that idea and said he respected coles etc etc...
Thanks guys. I guess I'll drop Chris Henry and keep Coles. If he can rekindle what he had with Chad a few years back, he could be a real sleeper.
Who would you start, Lee Evans of the Bills, or Coles? I have both, but I'm not sure who I should place as a starter on my team.
theres no reason why coles shouldn't put up monster numbers with chad in the pocket, if chad plays 16 games expect 7 tds from coles as well as her per game numbers being around 8 catches for 70 every game
   :rofl2: :rofl2: thats what you call monster #s? lol i call that a #2 wr on a team with a good passing game. hell stokely put up better #s for the colts in slot.. thats pathetic for a #1 wr
How can you say that? Laveraneus has had two 1000 yard seasons, came close the past two years (while on a bum toe), and has had 70+ catches the past four years... not to mention last year we had no offensive line, and basically our entire offense EXCEPT Coles fell apart. How is he supposed to produce in a dismantled offense with Herm's unimaginative playcalling running the show? Meanwhile, Lee Evans has put up the same yardage as Coles the past two seasons, more TDs, and about half the catches. From a production per play standpoint thats pretty good, I'll give it to you, but ultimately Lee Evans hasn't proven shit yet. Not to mention he's playing on a dismal Buffalo offense, and DICK JAURON is the head coach over there now. Chalk up Coles for the better season... especially if Chad somehow manages to keep his arm from falling off.
I think "the toe" was used by both sides to leverage. The Redskins put it out there to badmouth Coles and Coles put it out there to escape the Redskins. I have seen absolutely no ill performance as a result of "the toe." -X-
give me one number 2 reciever in the league that puts up those numbers thats not the colts. Yeah maybe those arent monster numbers for your number 2 in fantasy, but coachs dont pay atteention to your fantasy team. if coles puts up 110 catches for over 1100 yards and 7 tds, that would be MONSTER numbers for a jets team that will be in the bottom 10 in scoring this year. check your facts before you make a ridiculous statement like that. ps. stokley had 41 catchs for 543 yds and a TD, are those numbers monstorous. i think not.
