The best chance to win the SB is to make the playoffs. WC is the easiest way to make the playoffs with Brady in your division

Yeah, I mean at least we have SOMETHING going for us. No one wants to also mention how our special teams has been TERRIBLE this past year. Rex needs to stop believing that his team is the greatest ever and make his team accountable.

    Well I mean, it's reality.

Firing people every half decade does nothing to establish continuity in your organization.

We will never have a legitimate shot at the Super Bowl with that attitude. Woody loves fans like you. No accountability to try and strive for greatness. I can't believe a fan of a NY team would have this kind of attitude.

Rex can talk the team up all he wants, it's Tanny's job not to buy it. After 2010 season was the greatest misevaluation of talent you could have ever seen. We thought Plax could replace Braylon, Mason to replace Cotch, nobody to replace Turner, and that Sanchez was a top tier QB. We also though Smith and Jimmy we legitimate safeties, that Scott and Pace didn't lose a step, but we actually addressed our DL going for Wilk.

If the Giants have proven something over the past 4 years is that it doesn't matter how you get into the playoffs, it all depends on the type of run you put together. We play in a division with Tom Brady, one of the best of all time and until he goes, we are never winning the division without a lot of luck involved. We beat great teams to get to those conference games, so who gives a crap if they "barely" made it in.

I want to strive for greatness, but what's your plan? There are no QBs on our roster, no QBs in FA, and none in the draft. We can't fire Woody as an owner so here we are.

It's called realistic expectations. Nobody on our roster is an elite QB, there doesn't seem to be a Luck or Peyton in the draft, and no Brees in FA. So now what? Well to still be successful, we should probably revamp our offense, but there are no QBs. Okay so we get a placeholder QB like Matt Moore. Moore/placeholder is not going to be able to a carry an offense, so let's put him in a position to succeed by establishing a good run game and defense. Oh look, that's Rex's idea. That also means instead of foolishly trading up for a QB who probably doesn't have it, we should build up the rest of our team to be succesful while we find that QB. So, like how the Steelers kind of did it, we can get by and create a successful franchise and mentality while waiting for that QB. Then when we get that QB, we propel ourselves into the instant contenders as long as that player is there category.

Yeah I'm sure Woody loves a fan like me that wants him to change his whole mentality and strategy as owner.

Manyof you are too young to remember, but the NY Giants sucked from the late 60's to through the 70's. After the Herman Edwards fumble play, fans burned their season tickets, and the Maras burned the franchise to the ground. It took six years, but they won the SB and are now the class of the league. If the Jets don't follow that, we are doomed to mediocrity for he foreseeable future.

Okay well what about the all the teams who fire their head coaches after 3 years or so? I don't think we'll be missing out on much if we let Rex stay one more year. If we have another losing year like this, then yeah, lets start all over.

We also see teams burn it the ground and never escape futility. But let's hope the Jets just figure it out after 40 years?

Yes. We need to tear it down and build it back up the right way. Woody needs to hire the best talent evaluators who can build this franchise through the draft. Once we get a solid foundation of good young talent, then go out and supplement that with some good FA signings.

X2. This whole team is Rex's baby. Our season went in the crapper because of the offense. Same as last year. Hopefully we loose next week, and Rex gets his walking papers. Merry Christmas everyone !

It's dosent really matter what we think. Woody wasted millions on Romney, he's not going to fire the GM and head coach with two years remaining on thier contracts.

Last year it was all schottys fault .This year it is all Sanchez's /Soprano's fault .When is it Rex's fault ?

I am not the biggest Tebow fan but didn't he deserve one start ? What ever you think of him as a quarterback, he wasn't a stranger to winning.

We need an offensive guru to come in an take the reins on offense. Plus we could use some talent/speed at the skill positions on O.

I vote keep Rex and bring in Norv Turner.

Given the present state of affairs, its understandable. Daphne Joy certainly lives up to her name..

  20. I'm so sick of the "fire fire fire" attitude of this fan base the second things go wrong. Doesn't stability mean anything to any of you?Haven't you noticed that the musicial chairs brigade every 4 years or so hasn't worked? Don't you ever get sick of hoping the next coach will be the miracle worker? Maybe miracle worker isn't what this team needs..and rather it just needs stability & a solid foundation. You can't build a foundation when bonehead fans are screaming for new everything at the first sign of adversity. get a CLUE
