We meed Baltimore to play week 17 so we need a Bengals win and then a Giants win over Baltimore. We need Balt and Cincy to have 9 wins cuz if Baltimore gets 10 then they win division

To take it one step further, if the Jets beat the Titans and Chargers, there is no way the Jets can be eliminated by week 17.

Obviously root for the Bengals next week. Browns are better than some think and the Ravens may be worse, but Ravens are still a tougher opponent...

If the Chiefs upset the Colts next week at home, the Jets will have two scenarios to get in.

If you look at ESPN standings it says baltimore has already clinched a playoff spot (though not division...at 9-5)

so basically that means Balt is in the playoffs by either division win or wild card. Even if they lose out

is espn wrong here? Going by that logic it doesn't matter if pitt or cinci grabs the last wild card, baltimore is in anyway.

And if indy wins next week they're 10-5 and we can't catch them

The crazy thing is as long as the Jets can beat TEN & SD, we'll be playing a meaningful game against the Bills in the last week of the season! Almost a repeat of last year where we were 8-7 and playing Miami with still a shot in the last week. The same as 2008 in Favre's last year playing Miami in the last game. We lost, but ended up 9-7 that year.

So as much as so many fans say the sky is falling for the Jets, with 2 wins we could be still alive in the last week of the season with 5 staight non-losing seasons.

Yeah, but enjoy the ride until our inevitable 14-13 loss to the Bills.

THey clinched a playoff berth only, not the division. So they are in but they are playing for the division still. If they win next week, they still don't clinch it because the winner of PITT/CIN is one game behind them. That's how I understand it

Also guys, Ryan Matthews is ruled out next week with a broken collarbone. Tomorrow night is huge since it is primetime which we don't seem to like, but the next 2 games are at 1:00

it is correct, but if the jets are to make the playoffs, the ravens must win the north. If they are a wildcard team then that means ciny must win out and get 10 wins.

    Nothing to worry about honestly.

I'm happy to place my life savings on IND vs KC. -6 doesn't even do it justice, the Chiefs stink.

I've spent the last two weeks pulling for the Cowboys. Congratz on some solid victories. Gotta admit I'll be pulling for them in the playoffs since they helped out the Jets so much this season.

lol that's pretty much where I'm at. I just want to keep the patient alive as long as possible, even if we're still in a coma at least there's a pulse now.
