I am not 100% confident we will win, but I am enough to the point where I am worrying more about the Steelers and Bengals losing compared to the Jets.
Should be a good opportunity to improve as a team and win a game on the road. Hopefully our guys can get healthier during the week and come out ready to play this game. We have guys who are fighting for their Jobs this week and I hope they come out playing with that kind of intensity. Sanchez obviously is the key - limit the turnovers.
There will no Jarad Cook in this game. Cro will be on Britt, and Wilson will be one Washington/Wright. The key to this game is to contain Locker running ability, keep him in the pocket and force him to throw the ball into coverage. The biggest key is containing Chris Johnson. Their O-Line is very bad at run blocking and pass blocking but he can still put up rushing numbers. Their D is not very good as long as you don't give the ball away. Sanchez can't turn the ball over. I expect the same game plan as the Jags game. Run heavy, control the clock, and make Locker beat you. Jets win 24-17.
contain c.j. he is the type of back that scares me withagainst this defense. hopefully b.t. will be ok to help set the edge. i am not confident being on the road in primetime but i think we don'tget our heart broken for 2 more weeks
BT is out for the season. I'm worried about Chris Johnson, we have to shut him down. Will Mark Sanchez be able to make plays? Can the run game keep up the momentum?
damn it. heard rex say he was day to day. in that case k.wilson needs to play well so landry and bell can play up to key on johnson. i think we will need 20 to win so the offense better step up
Maybe Jake Locker will purposely throw away this game like he did the Colts game. Colts were losing until Jake Locker threw the ball right at a CB with no WRs around him. Hopefully he does the same dumb stuff against the Jets.
Dirty needs to take this opportunity, in the national spotlight on Monday night, and show people he belongs as a starting quarterback. Most of all, he needs to show us fans that he can perform again, simply because he cannot afford to have 70k+ fans riding his ass before he even comes out of the tunnel at the final home game vs. the Chargers. No turnovers, a couple of TDs and maybe 200+ yards of passing should do the trick, at least for one week. Jets 27, Titans 13
I agree. This is a game in which Sanchez MUST do well. If he doesn't, you can hope/bet McElroy will be active, and the hook will be lubed up and ready to go yank Sanchez against the Chargers.
That's a good point. It was so weird how both they AND Detroit just randomly choked the game away to Indy...
Bryan Thomas has a pec strain and is day to day...this is his final season so I expect him to be out there giving it a go.
Game plan will be contain lockler, avoid getting beat on a deep ball for a score, force him into mistakes and generate some turnovers. Colts won for this reason.
Yeah, I hate to be the pecimisst; but this team is just way too fast. Its not even just CJ. It's Nate Washington, Kendall Wright, Jared Cook, fuck even Locker can break a 20 yard run. The biggest detriment to our D is lack of speed. They struggle in pass coverage but we dont have the weapons. Im worried.
