New England - Monty Biesel LB, and Chad Brown LB

Houston - Antowain Smith RB, Nick Luchey(different guy) FB, Sam Cowart LB (for depth?)

Cowart would probably be cheap though, and it's not like we have to play him all the time. If it was a 3rd or 4th and short you put him in there with Barton and Vilma for some extra beef...

Surprised that Smith got cut. I realize this is 20-20 hindsight, but if you could have gotten Smith for free I wouldn't have wasted my time trading for Barlow.

No Cowart. The LB corp is young, they need reps. It is a rebuilding year, so give it to them. Also, Cowart is old. I don't mind vet leadership (that is what Kassel and Catham bring to the table), the team needs it, but the Jets have a history of keeping LBs way past their prime for much too long. Who can say Lewis and Jones?

Weird how we cut Cowart because he wasn't effective in the 4-3, but he has proven to be a force in the 3-4 and now we're running it. He was one of my favorite players I'd love to see us bring him back from depth. You can never have enough linebackers in a 3-4.
