The Jets were 4-6 after a crushing loss to NE, everybody wondered if Sanchez is they guy. But the Jets ended up winning 5-1 in the last 6 and made the playoffs.
We played the Panthers, Bills, and Bucs to follow. We play the Seahawks, Rams and Patriots this year. Different times.
We did hold the Dolphins to 250 yards of offense today, I'm just saying it is too early to throw in the towel. Once we get to 8 losses the season is over.
9 wins will get you a wildcard. The Jets have to go 6-2 basically. It can be done, not going to be easy,
were talking about the jets going 6-2 now, after they can't get motivated to play a division rival at home?
This season is not over, and I would hope no one would give up on it. Especially the players, however, things need to change offensively for there to be any hope. I don't know the true answer, but I think Sanchez needs to go. Maybe, we need to replace Sporano. Maybe, we need to trade for some big name WR. Maybe, Maybe, Maybe. Shonn Greene has been running like a man possessed the past 3 weeks, and our WR have been sufficient. Our offensive line has provided adequate pass protection. Sanchez is throwing behind players, short of players, over players, and every other direction. He takes way too long to make decision, and when he does make a decision, it is rarely good. His footwork is horrendous, his pocket presence is horrendous, and his accuracy is the worst in the NFL.
Holding Miami's 21st ranked offense with Matt Moore at QB to 250 yards isn't an accomplishment to brag about.
They had better talent around Sanchez though. They had a great O-Line, and a defense that took the league by storm.
I don't understand this post. You had that good run back then and still won nothing. Is this supposed to draw up memories of back then? Similarities? We won nothing!
Keep on believing in that. The '09 team was hungry and shitting the bed due to a new coaching staff and brand new system/philosophy. Not to mention a rookie QB. And it was a very good defense. This team is just poorly prepared, unmotivated, and doesn't seem hungry at all. Amen. This is on Ryan and the coaching staff. Fundamentals are awful, stupid mistakes, and just a complete lack of motivation. Disgusting. Nothing to be unsure about. They'd be 4-4 at best.
In 2009 we knew Sanchez was gonna struggle, he was a rookie. An we were the best running team in the NFL and top 3 Defense in the NFL. This time around our QB is in his 4th season still playing average at best and we can't run the ball and our defense sucks. 6-2? I'll say 2-4, time to move on if you think where playoff bound.
I'll be happy if we go 8:8 this year but prefer a 6-10 season for the pick. I do NOT want Ryan going anywhere. Sanchez is another story. He's really got to turn it up in the 2nd half oR he should have his replacement behind him next season. ....AND NO HIS REPLACEMENT IS NOT ON THIS TEAM.
