Braylon Edwards, T.O. (to en extent), Jerry Rice, Demaryius Thomas.... Shall I continue. The ignorance of some people...
He was an early second round pick at the WR position. The position asks you at its core to have one skill first and foremost, and that skill is catching the football. And it's a skill that he is no very adept at.
If you look at the wide open drop again, he turns his head BEFORE the ball gets there. Lack of concentration and seeing the play through.
Dude got 30 catches a year... A YEAR in college. We knew this nonsense when we drafted him. He is a blocking WR first and pass catching WR 2nd (at worst 2nd I hope)
I think those are the ones people with drops have the least trouble with. When they just have to go and make a catch, they usually do it. But when they time to think about how they should catch it, I think that stops them. Or they might just be bad at catching. But it feels like the more they just have to go and make a play, the better they are because it's just talent at that point
Well, there's a thing called film and there's not taking a great performance in skivvies too seriously and there's Terry Bradway's beer goggles. Only one of those things counts in the Jets draft room.
He's good for at least one drop a game. Don't overblow it though. I think the receivers were probably the best thing about this game.
You guys are f'n stupid-dumb. 'Critical'? What a f'n drama queen. But, whatever helps you ignore the real problems; e.g. coaching, blocking, tackling, coverage, passing....
Receiving falls on there. Team problems. Hill dropped a key pass in the EZ. That would have made in 20-7 and given us momentum heading into the half. But oh well. He's a rookie but he's really raw. We knew we were getting this, but with Tone out it thrusts him into a more important role
Remember how pissed I was when we drafted him? Do you get it now? And I'm not a hater... he's a very good guy and maybe he'll fix his problems... but I fucking HATE WRs with unreliable hands!!!
