I read reports on a neutral board with Vikings fan and they all say he was VERY impressive in the limited time he saw. Three sacks with two starts, is a good way to start your career.

Yah, but it's an "undisclosed" pick. We'll have to wait and see how high it is.

I'm real happy with the trade, too, and like you, I would've prefered Ramsey dealt instead. I was actually rooting for the Jets to draft Mosley last year, so things turned out well I guess. Viking fans have been high on him, and he performed pretty well when he had the opportunity. Now the question is if he can handle the NT role.

Mangini's going to mold this guy. Mark my words. I think we got a good deal.
Edit: Even thou I wish it was Ramsey instead of Brooks

  8. I love the move as I've been high on Mosley since his draft year, but i seem him more as an end than I do as an NT in the 3-4 scheme.

Not that I dont like this trade but didnt Mosely have some character issues that made him slip in the draft? Seems like Mangini is all of a sudden is backing off of the whole character thing.

You people are hot stuff with the "did we also get a pick" stuff.

    a) if they got a guy who can walk and chew gum at the same time for Bollinger they did great.

    b) any pick they'd get for Bollinger in this deal would be contingent on Bollinger becoming like the starter and or this guy the Jets got getting cut. And if either is the case, it would be like a 7th rounder, big deal.

    C) THIS GUYS A BEAST? HE WAS READY TO GET CUT.

YEAH, THE VIKS THREW IN THEIR FIRST ROUNDER NEXT YEAR.

are you trying to get everyone here to hate you??? (working)

beast as in big... i suppose now your gonna try and say 6'2" 320 lbs. isnt big right?

and even if we do think its a good trade were not allowed to ask if we got a pick?

Nah, i think he's just making a point that everybody always ask if we got a pick. :O

But I do agree with #1. We are lucky to get something for bolly, rather then nothing. How can you not see that this was totally beneficial for us.

i think this is a very good trade. we badly needed some beef on the D-Line, this guy has got talent and is young + we got a draft pick. I know it will prolly be only a 6th-7th rd pick but its a very good deal considdering bollinger isent that great anyway

First of all, all were asking is if we got a pick because believe it or not a pick is better than no pick. No matter what pick it is. Second of all I still think Bolly is a very very solid backup QB, and to a team like the Jets a backup QB is probably one of the top 10 most valuable positions. Also, for the Vikings, they have a very old starting QB. I believe that a Mosley for Bolly trade straight up, we did good, but any pick we got, we did great.

I remember i wanted the Jets to draft Mosely in the THIRD round......what a steal for a guy that shouldnt have made the team anyways (bollinger). Allows us to NOT carry 4 QB's if he did make it so we open a roster spot for another player

there must be some kind of flaw with this guy because why would they deal him with a pick for a backup?
