Its obvious Sparano is not the answer at O coordinator. Do they go again and try to get someone else in here. That would have Sanchez learning 3 systems in 3 years. I know for a fact Cavanaugh should be fired 1 second after the season ends. This offense is sloppy and lack any kind of identity. Then factor in a helter skelter QB with another QB looking over his shoulder. Sparano M.O in Miami was always play for the field goal. That will not cut it here.
What do we do now? We win nine in a row, a couple of play off games, the Superbowl and then a parade in the Canyon of Heroes.
He had two playcalls I disagreed with. I'm not gonna run him out just yet. I gave Schotty 6 years, I'll give Sparano one full year.
We beat Miami, we go into the bye week at 4-4. Then we regroup for the second half of the season; take advantage of our softer second half schedule, and make a playoff run.
That 3rd and one was a big call. But other than that, he played to have us in the game. If we had a competent QB, we would have won. But we don't.
I thought the playcalling was pretty predictable especially in OT, every 1st down play is a run up the middle. They have no fucking clue what to do with Tebow. I'm not in love with Tebow as the QB of this team but it's obvious the guy can make plays but the team is completely lost on what to do with him. Get him in some space and let's see what he can do. This run up the left side of the line with him is so obvious.
Sparano has been a very inconsistent play caller. It seems like every other game he's had some great games called. There's also a few games where he calls things that make Schotty look like Lombardi. I would hope he can learn from his mistakes and call better games in the future.
Beat Miami, Beat NE at home, Beat the Rams, Beat the Cardinals, Beat the Titans, Beat the Bills, Beat San Diego. Beat Jacksonville. Ok maybe lose 1 or 2 of those Make the playoffs.
Sorry but I could not get passed "Sanchez learning." He accounted for -9 points in the 1st half on rookie mistakes. Sanchez let the Jets down today.
I had more issues with Sanchez than most of the calling. Maybe he's just having a hard time adapting to this system, because he is a good QB or we wouldnt have had the run we did his first two seasons. That said, Sparano's slant bs didnt work in MIA, it wont work here. Neither will playing for FG's. When you have the ball on the 12 yard line after a KO fumble, you take 7.
To be honest, the safety wasn't Sanchez's fault. He stopped the Patriots from scoring a TD. He put the ball right in Greene's stomach, but Greene was too scared of Wilfork to secure the ball.
My opinion is the missed hand off is on Sanchez. Also thought the int on the underthrown ball was on Sanchez. A good throw gets the Jets a TD there so I booked it as a 9 point differential. Disagree?
