Sanchez is the leader of this offense. Hill is a rookie.

Hill's drop was critical, no doubt. But when you're banking on a rookie, you have to expect rookie mistakes. Hasn't Patrick Turner panned out for you guys? I thought he would become beast, but he's been rather quiet. Another Miami draft bust?

It's a little of everything. That's what it always is.

Special teams has to be on this list though. They were 100% the primary reason we were losing this game until forcing that fumble.

i want to say the refs for the kdub p.i. but good teams don't let the refs decide the game.
so first goes to play calling. 2 possessions where they palyed for 3 instead of going for the endzone

2nd goes to hill for the drop. i love the kid and think we are actually goingot be ok at wr with him and kerley but j.c. you have got to make that catch.brady is looking at needing 45 yards and 30 seconds to get in fg range and no timeouts if hill catches that, worst case scenario.

The play to be made that led to this loss is the Hill drop.

Hill catches that ball and it's first and goal (from the 11, yeah I know) with 1:48 left on the clock, with a tie score.

At worst, we run 3 more plays before kicking the go-ahead FG leaving Brady less than a minute with no time outs. We may even score 7 and win right there.

Hill dropping that pass lost the game.

    Where do you start?

Plenty of blame to go around but the biggest bonehead of the game award has to go to The play-calling. How do you settle for a FG instead of taking two shots at a TD withTebow/Greene??!! Playing scared is never going to win.

Second boner is Hill's drop. Come on man! Catch the freaking ball.

Third has to be Sanchez. Typical Sanchez, Mr. Inconsistent, some great, some good, some bad and like always, some stupid.

    A triple header.

Stupid Coaches + Stupid Hill + Stupid Sanchez = Stupid Me for thinking the Jets had a legit chance at winning.

The Hill drop was before the two minute warning. We were still down 3 at that point. Then we kicked off and McCourty fumbled

IMO, 3rd and 1 call. I was sure Rex was going to run for it and if he didn't get it, run again on 4th. At that point the jets were blowing out the Pats' d line. No balls.

This. Can't imagine what that TD/Int ratio looks like, but anyone else would be canned.

It was definitely a team loss. Special teams played like shit, barring Mcknight. I can't believe Kerley had to dodge 4 defenders every punt, terrible blocking on punts. They did force a fumble, but they also allowed a KR touchdown that shouldn't have happened. Folk choked on that one along with everyone else. Defense blew a few plays, but overall played decent. They let in 20 points, and against the Pats that's pretty damn good considering they average 31 points per game. Sanchez made a few mistakes. There were 2 balls he should have thrown away rather than take the sack, the pick was bad and he missed an open receiver. He was under heavy pressure a lot, though. 68% completion which is a step in the right direction. Receivers had many drops. Kerley, Hill and Schillens all had easy ones that could have been game changers. Playcalling on 3rd and 1.8 was bad. Should have run it with Greene. Greene and the oline played decent in the run game. Pass protection was up and down. Some really bad sacks that shouldn't have happened. The miscue with the hand off which led to a safety was on Greene, though. The pick was on Mark. The fumble at the end was on Moore. With all the problems we had we only lost by 3 in OT on the road to one of the better teams in the league. We can definitely compete.

    Other:

Mark Sanchez, Stephen Hill, Tony Sparano and the inability to cover the TE.

    All four played a factor.

how about all of the above except the referees?

Our coaching was terrible at times. Sanchez 2 turnovers were killers. the greene muffed exchange/safety was a killer. the kick return we allowed was awful.

its hard for me to blame the defense, they played great all game and Prevent late/in overtime was more on the coaching then on them.

Hills drop hurts, but we got the ball back on mccourtys fumble so it wasnt a killer. impossible to say but imo if hill catches it we still settle for a FG/OT.

Basically, it all comes down to this. Our coaching staff is mediocure and has no identity. Our offense has a below avg inconsistent qb, below avg inconsistent skill players and an average offensive line. and our defense has no pass rush.

basically, we are an average team with no conistency, which is why we basically only beat bad teams
