@ gopats.... The giants don't seem to have a problem with your great new age offense??? And they played it straight up.... every team knows that you need a good pass rush to stop brady...
I think you're a little confused. The Patriots rolled the high-tempo no-huddle out two weeks ago against the Broncos. Not talking about the "normal" no-huddle here. They're lining up and snapping the ball with 25 seconds left on the play clock. And I didn't say it couldn't be stopped... I just said it wasn't "borderline illegal," as Calvin Pace said it was.
Correct me if I am wrong but dont they just say stuff like this to the press to put it out there and have the referees think about it when it is happening?
I might be wrong correct me if I am mistaken but I believe it is pretty hard to run the NO huddle or any offence for that matter if Tom Brady is laying on his back :shit:
All he was saying was that its fast and difficult to substitute. Borderline illegal does not mean actually illegal. Funny as hell that it inspired that one clown to write an article defending it to the death. Patriots nut huggers disgust me.
Wasn't the quote "“It's borderline illegal, because sometimes the guys aren't always set when they snap the ball," Pace told ESPNNewYork.com. "But it's smart. Why not hurry a team up? I wish we would do it. For a defense, it just puts pressure on you."" Borderline illegal because offensive players aren't necessarily set. Yes that would be illegal. But nobody mentions how he calls it smart. Headline: "Calvin Pace calls New England offense 'smart'". Nobody is going to read that
The Jets cant get the play in on time like 2-3 times a game for the past 4 years. Hurry up my ass, we are lucky when we can get it done in 35 seconds.
Its amazing how this spreads and they spin it off. New England radio guy just made this a Rex Ryan quote and then disregarded the "But it's smart. Why not hurry a team up?".
