Yes, it can be. I've been saying it for the last two weeks.

absolutely not. I realize it's popular to hate on Holmes on this board, but anyone who doesn't wish he was still healthy is outright delusional. We are a better team with our most talented wide-receiver, I promise.

I thought I read in here that we can cut him with little recompense. But according to nyjetscap.com, he would rob us for 11 mil...so no good. Maybe what I read was that trading him wouldn't make us take a big hit...but the trick is finding a trade partner willing to pick up his retarded contract. Would that it be so.

I wanted him gone after last season, and still want him gone as quickly as feasible. He and the gunslinger were both dirtbags that I want as far away from my team as possible.

    Oh yeah, Schilens sucks.

Its not delusional to think we are a better passing team w/o Holmes. What does Holmes bring to the table that we are desperately missing? Sanchez sure has looked better w/o Holmes.

Schilens actually played well today. He is a nice big target that has worked well in the middle of the field, which is a Sanchez favorite throw. Hill played will today with great plays on the TD and the 3rd down conversion. Kerley gets better each week with more reps.

It should be clear to everyone now that Holmes played well in 2010 for his contract. He has simply been disengaged, runs crappy routes and drops makeable catches since 2011.

We will see. Obviously we had Keller and Hill back while subtracting Holmes and I think those two would provide greater help than just Holmes. You saw us do passes we would do with Holmes with Kerley. The short screens and the quick throw. I would like to have Holmes, but it potentially could be a blessing in disguise. We forget that Holmes went off against MIA and had a GREAT game.

Let's just say if we are late in a game and need a TD, I don't know who we can throw to yet. Holmes has always been that guy for Sanchez.

It's great for Sanchez that Holmes is gone.

Like how Eli shined without Shockey and Tiki.

I hope Holmes never comes back.

His -you know what- antics are a true disgrace.

To be fair without Hill and Keller and just getting the other Hill, the only WR he was somewhat used to working with was Holmes so him targeting Holmes a lot is less to do with diva and more to do with not much of a choice

No Sanchez looked better with an actual running game, putting less pressure on the kid today, lets not forget that people wanted to run Sanchez out of town after his struggles last week, even with today's game Sanchez is still below 50% completion so lets not make it seem like we lit the world on fire

I mean, it's possible, but not likely. It's hard to think that any QB will play better without their #1 WR, even if that #1 WR isn't exactly a #1 WR. Did I mention that he is our #1 WR?

It really doesn't matter who's out there , they just have to execute when the ball is thrown to them. I remember seasons where we lost a handful of game by 2 to 4 points and had a pretty good team back then. It sometimes come down to just a play or two to decide the winner.

what does that matter? Qb doesnt get to choose his weapons. He just might be a huddle and locker room cancer and demand the ball and throw fits.

Our WR corp is not the problem with our offense. If you read the boards, you will see it is everything but the actual problem.

Why don't you look up how many yards Holmes has accounted for this year, and then weigh that against the team's total yards. Make sure you add in all the penalty flags he drew.

Actual everything is the actual problem. Our inconsistent QB has been playing consistently below average. Our above average OL has been playing considerably average to below average. Our WR have been hurt and the ones behind the hurt ones drop catches, run the wrong routes, and aren't explosive. Our RB has been consistently bad until this game. And all together, our offense has been underwhelming.

Love the Kerley. Hill still shows great promise. Schilens is just too inconsistent and doesn't come up big when he has the opportunity. Last week, he should have recovered that onside kick and had a drop in the ez iirc. This week he was 2/4 for 23 yards, no TDs. His inconsistency is why Oaktown let him go and why we don't need him around here. Hopefully the other Hill steps up and puts him on the bench for kickoff.

I would not go as far to say we are better without our best receiver but I think all of the other guys are stepping up and able to handle moving up a spot on depth chart.

Kerley seems to be very good. I know he's only the slot receiver but we've seen the patriots run an offense with wes welker as the main target so I wouldn't count him out as a main contributor.

Hill is doing well for a rookie and hopefully by the end of the season he will have learned a lot. It looks like he's pretty tough and half the time the defenders can't even tackle him before the refs whistle the play dead. If he works on his juke steps he could start grabbing some major YACs.

Schillens isn't that great but I think sparrano should be able to come up with at least a handful of plays that help to utilize his size like the that 3rd down conversion play today.

J Hill is new and caught a TD today so you can't really complain about that
