Am I the only one who wants McElroy to be given a shot?

    Explain the previous three years.

Can't believe people still think it's everyone except Sanchez...

I'm still waiting for you to show me that his pass was on target, Nostradamus.

I'm glad you pulled that clip up now. See where Sanchez is standing in his typical scared pocket stance? As I pointed out to you, Sanchez could have clearly slid to the right or the left of JJ Watt's line of sight and completed that "on target" pass. But he didn't.

A revolving door at wide receiver and borderline retarded offensive coordinator doesn't help develop a quarterback. Throw in the fact that Rex is a defensive minded coach who was neglecting Sanchez's development the whole time in favor of a dominate defense and you won't have anything more then average play at quarterback.

I said the pass appeared on target. Never did I say it was on target. Again, your reading comprehension skills are terrible. You imagine things that are never said.

That play started at 29 seconds according to the play by play. The clock is still at 29 seconds in that screen shot and sanchez has started his throwing motion. That tells me his first read is open and he threw it. There's no need to slide around in the pocket in that situation, his first read is there and he throws. It's designed to be a quick pass, but you already knew all this because you're a big time coach.

If anything is wrong with what the Jets did there it's that the play should call for the o-lineman to cut Watt.

The defender made a good play there coach. I'm done trying to argue with you because you obviously see and read whatever it is your brain dreams up. I prefer to deal with reality coach. You don't. And I know you were never a coach because you don't seem to understand football beyond OMG QUARTERBACK BAAAAAAAAAD.

I think most reasonable people think it's everyone AND Sanchez. An elite QB could probably lift the entire offense. An average/good QB probably can't. I don't know what Sanchez is - I'm on the fence. I do think many people on here are going overboard to the point of ridiculous about how much is his fault though.

fwiw. he can't slide in the pocket here. the play was predetermined at the line based on the dl alignment and the cb playing off. its a 1 2 3 bang throw.
in the replay it looked to be online. of course we won't know because jj watts makes a sensational play.which is ok. the other team gets to make plays too. a great play by the d isn't necessarily a bad play by the qb.

btw. if you aren't going to say who you coached for i call hornet

Predetermined? Now I've heard it all. QB's make adjustments at the line all of the time throughout every game so there is nothing predetermined about that play.

It's called Read Progression. Look at the ocean of room that Sanchez has in the pocket. No defender within 5 yards of him. It's only a bang bang throw if his guy is wide open and IF there an no defenders in his view. That is on the QB to understand that. Stop blaming everyone else besides the one who controls where the ball goes. The apology syndrome for this loser QB is sickening on here.

Now that I'm looking at the clip it's even more egregious that Sanchez made that throw when he had a wide open Fullback or TE (it looks like Cumberland) at the bottom of the screen. Thanks for the clip, it makes you look even more clueless about Sanchez's fault.

He reads off that first WR and makes that throw to the guy at the bottom of the screen and it's a first down. There is no defending that poor decision and misread by Sanchez. So you and your buddy Long Time Fan are both dead wrong. Do you both coach the ballerinas together?

You could call it hornet, yahtzee, I could give two shits what you call it lol.

thats what happened here. they saw the spacing and took the quick slant. its a timed throw. and if kerley gets it he has some room to work.
its definitely a better shot at a first down then cumberland in the flat. with a defender closing on him.watts made a play. if wilkerson makes the same play there's a 10 threads about him beasting.i am not making apologies, when he sucks i call it. but like i said sometimes the defense just makes a good play.
but if its against the jets it obviously has to be a bad play for the offense. no way another team could have a good player ya know?

Its everything including Sanchez. That's why if you put in either of backup QBs, neither of whom are elite or even above average or even average QBs, you're still going to get a mess of an offense.

I don't think McElroy has got the arm strength to play the position long term. He's a poor man's Colt McCoy.

Another game of shit hitting the fan on offense and should get some garbage time. See what happens. Maybe there is a diamond in the rough.

You make 2 good points. These high scoring college QB's rarely face a defense above high school level, and when they do, it doesn't work out so well. E.G. Geno Smith against Texas Tech and Matt Barkley against Stanford.

Tebow will be gone after this season and his career, sadly, will be over.

I have been asking for McElroy to start when I saw him in his 1st pre-season game. He is the opposite of Sanchez in toughtness and mindset. He has skills and is smart with the football. Between him and Tebow I think we got a chance to win at least.

Sanchez gets Mo Lewis-ed, McElroy becomes the next Tom Brady, although not as effeminate.
