Well, I had to see another Giants-Patriots Super Bowl, why not a Giants-Yankees World Series? So far it's getting that same feeling, neither team deserves to be there so both of them will.

First Oakland has to get past Verlander.

Still possible to have a Bay Series (OAK-SFG) or a Crabcake Series (BAL-WAS)

Yankees need to close out the O's tonight in order to have CC for game 1 in the next round, otherwise, CC and Verlander will pitch possibly 2 games only and that's if it goes 7. and if it's Yankees-Tigers. The O's won't go quietly.

that was a great pitching duel.
I can't believe the Reds dropped 3 in a row at home.

Coco Crisp leading off against Verlander, 1-2 count. The announcer looks at the pitch trax and says "and so far he hasn't had to throw him a strike" because the three pitches were all outside.

What both of these turkeys ignored what that it got to 1-2 because the first pitch was clearly a ball and was called a strike. Neither of them commented on it, pretending it never happened.

"Coco Crisp : Strike looking, Ball, Strike swinging, Ball, Foul, Crisp struck out swinging."

Yeah, he didn't have to throw him a strike because the umpire was busy helping with badly blown calls, and you two clowns completely ignore it.

Tigers up 2-0 in the 4th.

Announcer now going on about how tough it is for Verlander, because he's expected to throw 125, 130 pitches each start.

Not even close to being true.

Wally Bell really needs an eye exam. He's been calling pitches six inches off the plate strikes and it's happened like 15 times now.

Tigers up 6-0 as Oakland pitching melts down in the 7th.

Miguel Cabrera hasn't been able to hit all series. 1 out, bases loaded, 0-2 count, and Cook hits him.

Had he not hit him, I think you could've expected a K or GIDP from Miggy.

I was hoping I could watch A's/Tigers with the sound off without them ruining the results of the other games (I have the bottom of the screen with a paper over it to conceal their annoying ticker).

Alas, they managed to ruin the Yankees game anyway.

The fucking Reds. That's what I get rooting for them, I guess. Little known fact, I became a Dodger fan in the first place in part because of my hatred for the Big Red Machine when I was a kid in the 70s. That and the Mets trading Dave Kingman.

No Reds vs TigS so I will go with my backup pick of Giants vs Tigers. My 3rd pick was Cardinals-Tigers. There was no 4th consideration. I will be stunned if the Tigers do not win the AL.

Baker is a tool. He is one of the managers/coaches I have disliked the most. He is up there with Don Shula and Bill Belichick.

I want anyone but the Giants vs anyone but the Yankees. Not a lot to ask for, is it?

    really?

they were fortunate to get Oakland rather than Texas or Anaheim.

    Very flawed team.

Being the O's are out I'm pulling for the Nats only because I watched Harper play in high school and his one year in Juco.
