I think where he would be best (other than QB) is an athletic H back, playing like Aaron Hernandez or Jason Witten. H is basically a tight end (physically), but the formations would allow for many handoffs and short routes.

Here's the thing -- I think he may be one of the best direct snap runners in history. Not read option, direct snap runner. And to do that, he needs to be in QB.

I am harkening back to my little league baseball days as I read this thread. Any kid who was tall, and threw the ball left-handed was used at 1st base. Tebow is big and can run.

Lets not become little league coaches and convert Teebs to RB. Dude is a signal caller and is best used as such. I want to see more of him at QB to see if his overall QB skills improve.

There comes a point where your ignorance and bias becomes a complete joke, and you have reached that point.

First of all, you think a 4.76 isn't quick enough for a FB ? In 2010, the top rated FB ran A 4.73. John Conner was rated in the top 3 FBs in that draft and ran a 4.72. You honestly think that 3-4 HUNDREDTHS of a second make a big difference at full back ? We aren't talking Tenths of a second here, you know, like a 4.7 versus a 4.3, we are talking HUNDREDTHS.

Secondly, doesn't matter anyways as Tebow ran a 4.72 which put him at even or minutely faster than the top 3 FB prospects in the draft.

Now, let's go a bit further and distinguish between being "quick" and being "Fast". 40 yard dash measures how fast you are in straight line. Things like the 3 cone drill and 20 yard shuttle measure how quick and maneuverable an athlete is. You know, like how quick they are in breaks, being able to keep their balance, how fast they accelerate, that kind of thing.

Again, let's compare Tebow to Conner just for kicks.

    3 Cone Drill
    Conner: 7.15
    Tebow: 6.66

    20 yard shuttle:
    Conner: 4.32
    Tebow: 4.17

Just for kicks, 10 yard dash:
    Conner: 1.56
    Tebow: 1.55

BTW, I'm not posting this to argue that Tebow should be in at FB. Rather, I'm showing that you quite simply don't know what the hell you are talking about, and that you don't let a silly little thing like FACTS stand in the way of making an argument.

Tell us how good Conner been at FB? Tebow would not make a good FB,RB,or a good every down starting QB. The facts show that you Tebow lovers are wasting ur time thinking he may. He going to be a wildcat QB and that it. Before u go into all that he a winner and throw up all his stats. 9-7 does not make u a winner. The bottom line with Tebow u can throw up all the stats u like but stats do lie. Now your eyes don't lie unless u got ur Tebow glasses on.

Conner has shown that he sucks at FB, BUT<, go back and look at draft profiles and combine results. At the time, Conner was rated as being a Top 3 FB and as far as results go, he LED ALL FBs in the categories that I've cited.

What LIES are people like YOU and Jetsetter34. People that post things without having a frakking clue what you are talking about, which in your case, has been demonstrated time and time again.

BTW genius, being 9-7 is indeed being a winner. See, 9 is greater than 7. That means you have a winning record.

Are you really this dense ? Or are you purposely acting like an idiotic fool just for kicks ?

Plus he was 8-5 not 9-7. I think 8 is greater than 5 but I may be a dense moron.

It would be an interesting move. It could involve direct snaps to Tebow while Sanchez is in shotgun. Also would cut down on the in and out packages. They could split Sanchez wide if they wanted to go Tebowcat instead of running him on and off. He has surprised a couple players with his good cut blocks. The big thing is if he can catch one or two balls coming out of the backfield. Then they have to realistically play the formation as a legit formation.

I wouldn't mind this mainly because in theory it should cut down on substitution errors and delays

As long as neither QB puts his hands under center, the ball can be snapped to either guy in the shotgun, correct?

OP, you need to wash your mouth out with soap.

This is blasphemous. SO disrespectful. Tim Tebow is a QB, plain and simple. He would not make a good RB/FB/TE/LB/S/CB/C/RT/LT or whatever else position on the team.

He's the best personal punt protector in the league.

Agreed... The mere threat of RB pass could prevent defenses 'cheating' for the run. If they do, they could get burned for a touchdown... Assuming our WRs didn't drop the ball.

I think he could be outstanding as a RB. Ive seen him run over LBs, and on more than one occaision, I've even seen him hold a block in the mud against a defensive lineman trying to tackle Knowshawn Moreno.

He's got all the tools. Can see the holes develop. Was kinda hoping Denver would do that. Could have made up for that idiotic move by McDaniels trading Peyton Hillis for Brady.

Pretty much think Tebow would be great almost anywhere that doesn't involve throwing the ball.

Also assuming Tebow can get the ball in the same zip code as the receiver.
