To the first Packers-Giants game from last season after the Giants took that beatdown from New Orleans? Or is it just me? I think Monday night's game gave the Jets hope. I think they have a good team they need better QB play to max out the ability on the team. JMO
They should've beaten the Texans. The 34-0 score against the 49ers doesn't tell the whole story that game was 10-0 for a good part of the game again turnovers and terrible QB play doomed the team. I see the makings of an explosive, big play passing attack here not like New Orleans or NE but a team that might not impress much of the time but still has the big play in its arsenal. THE BIG PLAYS HAVE BEEN THERE TO BE MADE but Sanchez isn't hitting them. If they put Tebow in I think the team will take off. I don't think they're a bad team at all they just need better qb play than they've been getting.
Look, I get people hating Sanchez right now. He's earned that. But have you seen Tebow play? You think he's going to make the offense explosive? Please tell me that's a fucking joke.
Tebow's best pass is the deep ball the one deep pass he threw to Hill on Monday night was right on the money. The Jets have assembled a stable of super fast WRs I think it's a match. Lack of a running game? With Tebow the production WILL go up because he's a dual threat. Sanchez had good protection against SF & Houston the o-line isn't the problem.
:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl: Thread of the year. Don - I think someone is competing for your TGG Award.
I don't. Unless you thought he was the best QB in the NFL, I don't know what you could expect from him in this current situation the Jets are in.
Why do we have so many uninformed people on this board? Terrible thread. LOL explosive offense. If our offense becomes explosive I'll send OP 20 bucks in the mail.
He has not progressed the way many of us had expected, hoped, thought, etc. So technically he is behind the expectation curve. So the general fan base expects him to put this team on his shoulders and carry it like he was Brady Manning Brees etc. He's not there yet. He might get there. He might not with this organization. Alex Smith is the supposed second coming of Trent Dilfer cause he is the perfect game manager and does everything right as that type of QB. Well 7 years in the league (2 years starting in college) and being on a team with everything perfect tends to help his situation. Sanchez had that situation as a rookie, and possibly his sophomore year. But definitely not last year, and especially not this year. But Sanchez is a better QB than Smith could ever hope to be and Mark is only in his 4th year starting with only 1 year of college experience. His Pro arc is still similar to Eli Mannings with 3 years less college experience. If anyone thought he was going to light up the stat sheet coming out then they seriously set the expectations way too high. I knew a lot less about football then, than I do now. But even I was smart enough to know he would most likely be a 2nd tier QB. So even after looking at the QB situation on the Jets with an open mind, the average person thinks that the entire team sucks because Sanchez isn't throwing for 4000 yards this year.
Watching this offense makes ME explosive - to the point where I want to DESTROY the fucking TV. There, EXPLOSIVE offense, I tell ya!
How about be a leader instead of walking towards the sideline with his head down? That's a start. The guy still makes rookie mistakes. We know his supporting cast isn't great, that doesn't give him an excuse to overthrow the ball, lock onto a receiver, lead receivers too much, step into pressure, or sulk.
You sir, are blind as fuck. Sanchez has been bad, but our Oline has arguably been worse. They may not be wayne hunter bad, but they are a far cry from the 2009/2010 unit. There are no holes in the running game and the pass protection at best has been decent. We could use to replace at least one, if not both, guards soon. Howard may grow into his role, but adding antoher RT is also an option. This line is at its best only good right now. At its worst its only a slight step up from last year.
We had so many chances to win this game, When Tebow had that big 12 yard run that led to first and goal, we should have let Tebow stay in and run it 3 staright times and we would have got 7 points instead of a field goal. Sanchez had the ball in his hands with 2 min to go to win the game and he blew it. I really belive that if Tebow played the entire second half we would have won
If u think u know so much and it won't happen send him $1000 by FedEx? I'm not saying it going to happen but saying only 20 that not worth it.
Average QB, No receivers. No running game, No pass rush. Not really much similarities but at least we showed heart and fight in us. Hopefully we can step it up and get a little healthier and head into that buy at 4-4.
