Huge break for Jets and Mark Sanchez. DE-OLB Robert Mathis OUT with a knee sprain. #nyj

Anyone who thinks the jets will easily beat the colts doesn't watch much football. Talk about wearing green colored glasses.

I think it's more the feeling that this is the easiest game the Jets have over the next month. Take a look at their next three opponents after Sunday and if you're a logical person you can't honestly predict a win over either of them. Miami had the Jets beat Week 3 and the only player who did anything for us that game won't be playing unless doctors have figured out a way to do a foot transplant. This team won't win in New England or Seattle. Just won't. New England is too good and owns us and Seattle in Seattle is a different beast. Marshawn Lynch against this defense is already giving me nightmares.

Tell us how you think Indianapolis can beat the Jets. I don't think it will be an easy game. I think it will be a close game decided by turnovers and honestly, I'm more comfortable with Luck screwing up less. A cake walk this game won't be.

Any Jets fan who thinks we have a playoff team needs to check into an institution.

By scoring more points than the jets. ;)

But seriously, do I think the jets can win this? Of course, that's why they play the games. But the arrogence of some jets fans has me perplexed. What have they done that would make this an easy win? Right now I think the jets would have their hands full playing the browns or bills, nevermind the colts. And btw, the colts are 1 play away from being 3-1. Just sayin.

The Bills? No. The Jets own the Bills. Jets could filed a local HS team and the Bills would go cry in a corner. The Browns I'll give you.

I'm not bashing the Colts at all. I think there's a good chance you win this game. However, if you had to ask me which was the easiest match-up for the Jets over the next four games, it's this one, especially with the Colts being without starting RB Donald Brown and OLB/DE Robert Mathis.

I'll agree that Mathis being out will hurt a bit, but Brown is expendable as far as I'm concerned. Ballard and Carter will fill in nicely in the meantime. Besides, we still have a guy named Freeney, (you may have heard of him) and Cory Redding is looking real good also.

Plus, it's not like the jets are 100% healthy either. You have your own share of injuries too.

Cory Redding does not scare me or even Vladimir Ducasse when it comes to rushing the passer. Freeney, yes, very good, but on his last legs.

    We'll see.

You should, as he's been playing lights out the past couple games. He may not be all-world, but he's very solid.
He may be on his last legs, but he still has his legs and is still a force to be reckoned with. Can't wait for Sunday.

This game is hardly the layup it once seemed and it wouldnt shock me if the Jets lose.

FWIW, if the Jets do lose the season is done IMO.

The Jets won't have any layups, but I believe this is one of many games they can and should win. It's at home and they should be really angry. The Colts aren't that good, Sanchez will want to have a good game to silence the masses, the receivers will want to redeem their performance, and the defense is not as bad as the numbers suggest.

This conditions are right, so I still believe this will be a decisive win.

Why do they always call it a huge break for the Jets whenever a player on the opposing team is out? Funny enough you never hear "Oh HUGE break for the Texans, Dustin Keller and Stephen Hill are out". They make it sound like we wouldn't have a chance if he played.

With Mathis and Brown out for the Colts I think the Jets are gonna win, probably by 10 or 14 points but we won't look great doing it.

I was fuckin SHOCKED to see that we don't have, statistically, the worst run offense in the league.

    Yep.

IF they lose this one, they're on a fast track to 2-5 with a likely loss at home against Miami to put the icing on the cake of an implosion at the Bye at 2-6.

    MUST win.

Because we all follow NY beat writers/reporters on twitter and post them. So as a beat writer/coverer for the Jets it's a huge break when then opponent loses a key player. When we lose a key player, its a tough break for us because we are depending on it.

If you look at it from green colored glasses like we all do, why would you care how the other team perceives an injury we have? We only care how it will affect our team and how to work around it.

I hope Sanchez steps up this game, he's looking better, maybe he can take a big step.

I am very happy with our pass defense but we don't match up very well against their receivers. They have 2 speed receivers and 1 really good route runner. Our speed corner will be on Wayne, which is not a good match up for Cro and Wilson and Berry can't keep up with their speed receivers. Were gonna need a lot of safety help. Right now in my eyes Cro is top 3 corners if not number 1, but he wont match up well against a good route runner. Its gonna be a good game. Hopefully Keller and Hill are back, if they are I see 300+ yards.

I think they will win but you're right, it's not a given like some people are approaching it.

There are no easy games when Sad Sack is your quarterback. Every time he throws I expect an INT. Sanchez makes football nerve racking.

Luck looks great but he is still is a rookie and is prone to having bad games like Peyton in his first year. I think we will pick Luck off at least once and maybe twice.

This is a must win game, we lose this, its over for 2012.
