Utah! Gimme two of whatever you're drinking AND smoking. As far as the unsold tickets: It's pathetic. I"m tired of fans who sit on their ass at home and complain about the stadium and noise and then don't show up. There are plenty of $50-95 season tickets available, not much more or LESS than the price of some tickets at Giants Stadium, and none of them are PSL's.
The stadiums been pretty empty since opening day. I brought this up in a thread and others disagreed, but look around when you go to the games, my eyes don't lie. There's a reason they wanted all the seats colored grey, the empties don't stand out as much.
Thank goodness for the different colored/shaded seats to " hide " the empty ones. Actually I don't think it's going to be that bad tonight. As of 8 am today...StubHub has just a little over 4,300 tickets for sale.
+1000 This is exactly what they need to do. Lower the damn prices if you want to fill the seats. The Jets need their fans right now in a huge way, why the ownership refuses to lower ticket prices is mind boggling. How many folks here would actually go to the game if they cut the cost of the tickets in half for tonight's game? Would they rather watch 12k seats go empty, lose the crowd noise, seat revenue and concession revenue, or would it make more sense to at least get half your seat ticket value while increasing your concession revenue two fold... Your only chance to beat Houston is for the fans to make some noise, and A LOT of it. That...and stop Foster
Theres 5000 tickets on stubhub. MOst of them for 20 bucks. Doesnt matter. The product is shit. No one wants to go through the nighmare of going to the game and watching that dripping shit
I passed up 4 mezz tix with a parking pass for 45$ a piece for this game. Tix were priced at 125$ a piece. Not paying for this crap. Rest assured, they will start the military discount tickets to supplement selling out the stadium if it looks empty. I will certainly buy those @ 15$/ticket.
Stubhub isn't what the Jets are selling them for. If the overall product wasn't so expensive then season ticket holders wouldn't feel the need to try to recoup their losses at the first sign of trouble. The Jets went into last week 2-1 and the stadium was still a sea of red.
The only way the Jets got my wife's cell phone number is because I put it down on a drawing the Jets had a while back for 2 free tickets, limo ride, yada yada yada. Jets called my wife Tuesday after the 49ers game and offered her a signed football if she attends the MNF game. Guy asked her how she liked the 49ers game and she went off on him....dude hung up on her after about 10 minutes. There goes my signed football!!!
we had a 20,000 waitlist a few years ago but the organization had to get greedy and build that tin can and screw the fans. It's embarrassing but they deserve it for being greedy.
I don't blame her. Why would they even ask fans about how they liked the 49ers game, were they not watching it? That's like your car breaking down after 6 months of driving and the dealership calling immediately after asking how you liked the car.
Tickets are expensive and also many fans are staying home because they expected the team to suck. I know someone who has been trying to get rid of tickets for tonights game on facebook for weeks. No one wants to go.
The Jets have the highest ticket prices in the NFL. Higher than the defending super bowl champs who share the same stadium. How could they possibly justify selling tickets that high? Its no wonder no one is going
The inescapable truth is that going to games at MetLife isn't a very good experience. It's a pain in the ass to get to, it costs an arm and a leg, and it's a boring, unpleasant environment once you're there. In the modern era of HD televisions and wide-ranging satellite/cable packages, watching from home for a fraction of the cost is just a more appealing option unless the team is great. And this year, it's definitely not.
Probably the worst "modern" stadium out there, I agree. Only reason why I'm going tonight is cause a friend got tickets from work.. I think we have that lower level sideline club. Still, not even looking forward to it.
who wants to sit out in the cold on a monday night and watch us get beat by 30+ then have to fight traffic, get home at 1 or 2 am and get up for work the next morning? hell im not sure i want to stay up to watch it, let alone go see it
