Who in their right mind thought that the NE losses were solely on Tebow. Their defense doesn't match up well with the Patriots. At the same time Tebow couldn't generate any offense against an awful defense so even if the defense was simply average they probably still lose by double digits

You've seen us lose to, arguably, the best three teams in the NFL. There are no smoke and mirrors needed. We are growing, melding, about to trounce the secound half our schedule.

We don't miss Tebow whatsoever. We'll be just fine, but thanks for your concern.

Last year NE cracked Denver's snap count. Basically NE's players knew when to jump and what the play would be. Not even Jesus himself had a chance in that situation.

this game looked about the same as the regular season pats/denver game did last year. Manning had a few more yards of offense, but Tebow scored a few more points, either way it was an ass kicking assisted by multiple turnovers, none of them were on Peyton at least.

If you guy lose to San Diago, I think Broncos fans should start questioning the decision making of John Elway. I mean the defense needs help yet the best upgrade the defense got was Jim Leonard! I'm not saying he will be on the hot seat, but some of the front office decision have been awful, starting with the botched Orton trade, which started your QB controversy!

More than a few people don't get it. Even when they see it with their own eyes. And even some of Tim's teammates didn't get it, like you say. Tim could do it again with the Jets, and we will still hear stuff from people that don't or can't understand how it happens, trying to convince others "Tebow is a terrible qb". Maybe the people that don't understand it have never been in a team situation, for fun or with life and death implications where others will follow a particular person and give all they have because of that particular person's inate ability to courageously lead. Oh well.

I think people are not putting enough stock into Tebow's leadership abilities. Take "The Speech" he made at Florida for example, people derided it for being just another baseless guarantee that just by chance happened to come to fruition. Granted it wasn't eloquent, and he certainly isn't the only to guarantee victories in sports, to put it mildly, but it was the way he made that speech that really mattered. He said it with tears in his eyes and determination seething through his teeth. Yeah, sounds pretty damn cheesy, I know, but what he showed to the team is that he really, truly cared. He really WANTED it.

The problem with losing teams is that they fall back to natural human instincts, our inborn mechanisms of ego defense. If we lose, then we didn't really care anyway. Eventually they really don't care. It takes some guts to announce to the world that you really want something. Most of us are grown men, and we all know the natural fear that accompanies telling people what we really, truly desire. Tebow conquered that fear and through that speech he helped his team get over that fear as well, and they worked harder than ever so that they wouldn't disappoint Tebow, their family, their fans, and most importantly, themselves. That's what leadership brings.

I really wish Jets can cut Tebow. So he can join Belichick and Mcdaniels at NE. He needs some coaches who know a little bit about spread offense and have the ability to twist the system according to his strength.

I wanted to say this. One difference between Denver this year vs last year. The running game. Last year they were dominating in the run game. #1 in the league. This year not so much. Peyton is pass heavy because he is good at it. But the running game has suffered. It's pretty much the same Denver team this year except for Manning. Granted Denver is playing a tough schedule right now. I just thought I'd point out the run game. I think Tebow is really good at helping the run game be more productive. And I just don't see Manning helping the run game be much better. It's not who he is. It's never been his mentality.

    Spoken for truth.

In the Broncos regular season game against the Patriots last year, the Tebow Broncos scored more points than the Peyton Broncos did today. Just sayin'.

The irony of the above statement is, well....very ironic, considering all the 4th quarter comebacks Tebow led last season with the Broncos. The difference in Tebow's 4th quarter comebacks and Peyton's 4th quarter comebacks is that the Broncos won most (maybe all?) of the 4th quarter comeback games with Tebow at the helm.

Lots of the Tebow haters did. Oh wait, you said "who in their right mind".

The simple fact of the matter is that the Denver defense performed almost as poorly against the Patriots today as they did last year. Peyton Manning played pretty darn well, but it still wasn't close to enough to overcome a bad defense (and a fumble by Peyton deep in Bronco territory which led to a Patriots TD a few plays later).

Are you saying Tebow was the sole reason the team played as well as it did last year?

Well put, dingyibvs and JFJets. Tebow wears his heart on his sleeve and "The Speech" made me choke up cuz he was so sincere. Hey Remarker, I'm proud to be a Gator this weekend! Last year sucked so bad I could hardly watch.

    Right....

Because the greatest Bronco in history is going to be questioned for landing the greatest free agent aquisition in history, after 1 year as VP.

Regardless of how you feel about Tebow, you have to be retarded to actually believe this.

Edit: Also, the Orton debacle was a year and a half before Elway was hired. Please refrain from posting when you have no clue what you are talking about.

Your response is entirely based on Manning being the greatest free agent acquisition in history, which is precisely what we're debating right now.

And your assumption is that Tebow would have fared better than a first ballot Hall of Famer.

If I'm not mistaken, Tim Tebow is currently completely irrelevant in the NFL, as he is riding pine behind a shitty QB.

    Yep, I'm not mistaken.

He is a terrible QB that went 8-5 on a shit team that was 7-24 before he started , you can say it was not all him and thats true . You can blame Devine intervention , leprechauns or unicorns but he has a winning record in the nfl as a starting QB at 9-7

And your hall of famer has a LOSING record as a starter on your team.

And that is not an assumption it's a fucking fact

Hey Genius, the botched Orton trade was in the offseason prior to 2011 and Elway was most definitely at the helm then.

Take your own advice about not posting when you don't have a frakking clue.

Actually, all the Broncos fans thought they were Super Bowl contenders this year with Peyton Manning, that is what Elway has been preaching since they signed him. Yet every good team they faced they got blown out, and the games was over by halftime. The Broncos are what we thought they were, a mediocre team with a defense that is swiss cheese. Yes Peyton Manning is a MAJOR improvement over Tebow, doesn't hide the fact that this team is just an 8-8 team, why, because of their defense. Jack Del Rio said they would be a top five defense, they looked awful in every game besides the Raiders. Watch Philip Rivers and Ryan Matthews destroy Denver next week, if Norv Turner lets them.

I feel bad for Champ Bailey, he is the only good player on that Denver D, well except Von Miller. Dumervil has been MIA, Tracy Porter is awful, Joe Mays sucks, Rahim Moore doesn't have a cule how to play safety and Chris Harris has regressed badly. Elway could of payed a player like Cortland Finnegan, or get Landry or Bell. But no, Elway had to have the big fish in the pond!

Regardless, Elway said they had a three year plan, yet they ditched it to win now? Honestly, they are about 3 or more years from being contenders, but by that time Peyton will be 39 years old!!! And don't get me started about "Oswiller is the future". Everybody moaned about Tebow's throwing mechanics, yet Oswiller's is worse. Oswiller is going to be a massive bust! Then what will the Denver fans do? They will be saying "oh no, we suck again!!!"
