I remeber 2 yrs ago during hard knox when he got hurt Rex was puking over the injury. I thought they gave him a chance,,maybe I am wrong,,,,,but he seems to be playing well for KC READ ON " Chiefs DE Ropati Pitoitua (questionable, elbow) is expected to play in Sunday's game against the Ravens.Pitoitua had two sacks filling in for Glenn Dorsey (calf) last week, and has been one of the few bright spots in the Chiefs' defense. If he continues to play at a high level, Pitoitua could be an option to replace Dorsey at right end, who becomes a free agent after the season. Oct 6 - 8:40 PMSource: Kansas City Star "
Yeah I remember Rex being sick when Ropati went down...Rex had been building him up, not that he needed it at like 8'-6" and 450 pounds our something! But he was tall and he was mean.
We had 3 sacks against Pitt. Pouha got 1 and Mcintyre got 2. Then against the Phins we got 2 I think. Pace and Thomas.
I really liked Pitoitua but in this game you can never get attached to any player. He might turn out to be a super stud or the two sack game could be the highlight of his career. Just never know.
Always liked him but he was never a full time guy. He was a nice plugin and played well in that role To answer i'd say no but you have to realize that we drafted several linemen and had a few that were a little higher on the depth chart..
While we're talking about players we let go - why the hell did we cut Danny Woodhead? He's cutting it up and scoring touchdowns with reckless abandon as a Patriot... it's embarassing...
