He was start-worthy on the Lions until he got arrested twice. Worth the risk.

The Lions liked the way he played. It bothered them to get rid of him as he was supposed to be a starter for them

I completely agree with signing a WR. Lets get Owens in here or Chad.

My friend's uncle coached him at Pitt, he said that he just can't get his act together, or at least he couldn't back then. They were always covering for his piss tests and stuff making sure he didn't get caught...

I remember this dude. He cut his hand getting Marty McFly out of the trunk of his Caddy. Then got his cousin Chuck to steal Marty's cool new music.

Oh.... maybe that was Marvin Berry?

My reaction....why not? Nothing to lose at this point by taking a flyer on the guy.

    1) He clearly hasn't got his act together (at least as of two-ish months ago)
    2) That's almost every major program (piss tests). Typically they'll just stop testing a player that they know will test positive if they can

Tebow blocked real well. I heard rumblings that he's moving to RT.

Suit him up and get him out there on the practice field - welcome Aaron and good luck....please check your 'valuables' at the door.

So the Jets had to live with McKnight as the 5th string CB instead of the 4th string RB in a game that they lost by 34 points anyway. Huge loss there

If I'm not mistaken Berry was a freshman during Revis' last year there; hopefully the Jets are going off of his recommendation here.

my point is that it was a stupid idea to make mcknight go from rb to cb in the middle of the season rather than just signing a cb off the scrapheap.

and just flip flopping like this makes it pretty clear that there is something wrong with the people making these decisions for the team.

are you saying it was a good idea?

For those who don't know Berry was accused of pointing a loded gun at a crowd of people among other things, He sounds like a high "charecter" guy ,I have nothing against people with criminal pasts but for once I would like to see some real role model types on this team

We should change our logo to a Garbage Truck, we pick up everyone else's trash and it's still an upgrade.

The Jets can sign this guy with a crazy past, but they decide to let Braylon Edwards walk for bad off field issues. Then they know the Jets need receivers with guys like T.O, Chad, Plax, Stallworth etc available but they pass on those guys for their troubled past?

The Jets define the term double standard.
