For a team that is supposed to be drafting BPA we sure seem to load up on defensive players (including defensive linemen in the first round two years in a row).
We haven’t drafted strictly BPA in years. We draft with our heart. BPA is the proven best method for a team of any caliber. You can’t go wrong if you are getting the best player regardless of if you need that position. It increases your depth and trade situation. It also keeps your opponents from getting the BPA. Smart drafts stick with the board – but its very easy to get caught up in draft day hype and drama and start picking with your heart. But it’s wrong. Stick to the board!
Kyle Wilson has been horrible from day one, undersized, slow like concrete blocks on his shoes. A bunch of our draft picks have ben questionable. Look at the teams like the Steelers, Green Bay and even the Giants. They draft for long term players and usually strike "Gold" while we seem to get all "Hyped-up" at times and loose our mind a well as focus of what the hell we are supposed to be. This team has zero direction and even less playmakers.
Falling for hype would've been selecting Chandler Jones this past April. Doesn't look too bad right now. What we need are better scouts that are capable of ranking and projecting players. And yes also, keeping the picks to build depth. Its all a big circle of r'tard though. We can't afford anyone we draft bc we've signed dumb contracts, some of them guys we traded picks to acquire. Just blow it up.
