As a Texans fan I don't think you guys don't have a shot at all. The biggest thing is you'll have to create turnovers to win. The problem is Schaub has been very good at protecting the ball and Arian's fumble issues haven't popped up this year yet. I don't think there's anyone in the league who can block Watt one on one right now for the whole game. The guy is just playing out of his mind.
Come down to the same thing...can you make a team one dimensional. if they can shut down the run they have a show. If tex is avg 5+ a carry we can turn the tv off early
A lot will also be clear after seeing what changes Ryan and his coaches make today and tomorrow in preparation...if they come out with the same dumb shit game plan on defense and offense they are through as well as the Jets this year. He has made a point twice of saying that is what they are doing these first two days..we'll see.
I think you guys have a shot to win, but it's gonna take a perfect storm for that to happen I believe.
They need to implement Tebow more. I DID NOT say start him, just play him more. They need to mix up the offense a lot more because Sanchez is not good enough to run a tradition style offense with limited to no playmakers. They have nothing to lose...I'd like to see close to a 50/50 split in snaps. At least it will give the defense something to adjust to. See if Tebow with more than just 2-4 predictable snaps can help jump start the running game. It worked well in Denver.
I think people are being a little too hard on the team right now. I didn't expect the Jets to beat San Fran, but games like that are going to happen from time to time. The Texans were blown out at home by Carolina last year. It happens. I will say this. The MNF game will say a lot about Rex's coaching ability. Down arguably the best player from both sides of the ball he'll have his work cut out for him.
I'm not gonna promise a win but walk through this thought experiment with me will Texans go 16 and 0? if you think NOT then we can win next week and there's nothing in the world that i like to see more than Sanchez with his back against the wall
Of course we'll come out with more fight. Our team sux though. There's no debate. Were average at best. This season is gone. Seriously , does anyone believe we have a legit shot? I'm already thinking about next year. I can't wait for the "this year Marky Mark will turn it around" threads.
Only 300? Jets have a shot if that's the case. I'm expecting more of 450-500. Tell me, who will contain him? Pace? Thomas? Coples? Ah, he's riding the pines very well. HoF calibre pine rider, that is. What are you smoking, son? Share the wealth, and spread the joint. We all need some of that...
Jets can take 'em. Some teams just never beat others. The Jets never beat San Fran. Or Pittsburgh. Or the Ravens. Or several other teams. Whatever. Houston is in the same boat with the Jets. We're in their heads. Jets 24-17.
