I don't know if everyone saw the post game press conference, but Rex looked furious. He was not happy at all with how we played this game. For me, this game reminded me a lot of the 45-3 loss we had against New England. Yes, the teams were different, but it was just a matter of nothing good happening what-so-ever. After that loss, Rex turned the whole thing around. Buried the ball and got this team right back on their feet. It was a very impressive run we made after that loss, including beating New England on their turf when it counted most. So, let's hear it! In all honesty, do you think Rex will turn this thing around again? Forget the loss of Revis and Holmes. We can't keep basing our entire season off 1 guy when there are many other good players on the field. It takes a team and coaching effort.
It's up to the players to play with a little bit of pride. Rex can't run, catch the football, tackle, or block for these guys.
Sorry guys, but the loss of Revis is to much to overcome not to mention the offensive issues the Jets have.
Agreed, but the coach also has A LOT to do with that. When a coach is your best friend, you tend to not care whether you perform like an asshole or not. He also seems to love playing his vets when we have some good young talent sitting on the sidelines. Of course the players need to play with a little more passion, but it all starts at the top
I think you are completely wrong. At half time, if Mark hadn't turned the ball over, we would have been down 7-3. Our defense completely shut down San Fran the whole first half. Our offense turned the ball over, gave the defense horrible field position to work with, and the defense was on the field the entire game. We looked fine without Revis.
Neither option is true. Ryan hasn't "lost control" of the team, the team just isn't very good. Especially with all of the injuries. There's no motivational speech that can stop the Texans offense from running all over us, and the Texans pass rush from making Sanchez's life hell.
Disagree. I don't see a lack of talent. Too many good things came from these players to all of a sudden suffer like they are. I think it's a lack of the right play calling, the wrong players starting, and talent sitting on the sideline. Not to mention injuries
What about we are an average team and will plummet even if Rex has "control" of the team? Just because we lose doesn't mean he lost control and technically just because we win doesn't mean he has control. Lots of people thought he didn't have control in 2010-2011 and lots of people thought he let his players mouth run before the Foxboro game in January.
I voted no because of his insistance on Sad Sack still being the starting QB. However , if he puts in Tebow or McElroy as the starter then it changes to yes.
He shuts down half the field something no other corner in the NFL can do. We will certainly see how it plays out
Not a chance in hell. The season is over. We should all have a party if we somehow manage to scrap and crawl to an 8-8 season, because 6-10 or 7-9 is more likely starring this team in the face, and I don't even know how I'm predicting that many wins as I type this.
Rex is part of the solution. The problem is the personnel. Too many complimentary pieces & not enough foundational ones
It's going to take YEARS to rebuild this mess. I'm guessing at least 3-4 seasons of blowing the team up. Shedding the bad contracts between now and 2013, re-drafting the skill positions, stacking up on linebackers, etc. Holy shit, come to think of it, we pretty much need to re-build the entire team outside of the cornerback position (assuming Revis comes back, of course).
