Greene is in his last year of his contract and will be a free agent next season, there's gonna be alot of talent available next offseason and I can't imagine us resigning him with the way he is playing. I know it's way to early to talk about next season but why the fuck not. Ill post a list of all the top free agents at all positions at some point. Im just trying to find something positive in all of this. Is there anyway Tanny or our New GM resigns this SCRUB?

    Greene for 3

The Shonmower is playing himself into his next contract, which will be nothing more than backup money elsewhere...

Another bust...again, his only highlights were those from his college days.

he's had 1 great run and that was the against the Chargers in the playoffs in his Rookie year , Reggie Bush is a free agent next year and the way he's playing I would love to see us make a move on him

Rookie year in the playoffs he looked pretty good, and was a big part of the reason we were competitive.

I think having a deep stable of RBs is important, not only for this team but for more highly pass oriented teams as well.

I've noticed some teams' playoff success comes with guys who haven't carried the ball much in the regular season so they are fresh with no dings and can really grind on the opposing front 7 in the cold. James Starks comes to mind, and all of the guys the Saints had.

I don't know what to take from today but I agree, Greene just doesn't have it unless the line is really, really good. I don't know how I had so much fun watching this team week 1. What the hell happened?

The 49ers are arguably the best team in the league, thats what happend, the Pats blew out the Bills just like we did in week 1 , We struggle against teams with anykind of depth and talent

he might be out the league after this year. There are way better runningbacks in the league. We need to sign a proven RB in free agency and let Powell be the number 2 back.

Still a success story for a guy who was bagging groceries to being a starter..I think he will get back up money or some other team will give him a shot.

Once he left the AFC championship game against Indy he had lost something

I'd be fine with Greene as the change of pace back, but the Jets clearly have to find a real starter.

Shonn Greene is only marginally an NFL running back. He's a third stringer at best. I'll drive him to the airport myself if necessary.

can't see how he's brought back with the lack of production he's displayed thus far.

Greene would be a good third string back, but I can't believe the Jets claimed to be building a ground and pound offense with Greene as the feature back. If Greene is unemployed next year Tannenbaum should be joining him.

What RB's are free agents next season?

We need fresh faces on offense, that's for sure.

Is it too early to say "I'll drive him to the airport?" He can have lunch at the airport Chile's with Blair Thomas and Roger Vick (as well as all the other shitty Jets RB's throughout the years).

Thank God Powell is gonna get a few looks now. Not that I'm thinking he's a long term option, but he's certainly better than Greene right now. I don't think there's much to dispute about that.
