Just read he is out for 4-6 weeks. Hopefully he is out atleast 5 and we don't have to play him in Foxboro.

Given how it looked on Sunday, I will take 4-6 weeks in a heartbeat. I thought it was much worse than that.

The fact that they ran out and signed Winslow this morning should be pretty telling, along with how the Pats' offense sputtered after Hernandez went down. Looks like a whole lot of the offense will be predicated on that 2 TE set and was designed around Hernandez's versatility and skills.

Wouldn't be upset if he missed a game against us...does hurt one of my fantasy football teams though.

I don't expect the loss of Hernandez to slow them down much. Pats had a bunch of TEs in camp; one will likely come back now. In one game in which he gets injured, sure, maybe they were slowed some. But they adapt pretty quickly.

I think you guys are underestimating how good Hernandez is.

Nd versatile. Handoffs, blocking, receiving, yac. I rather have him as our RB and #1 WR

The main thing with Hernandez is he gives you the flexibility to create the match-ups you want. No other TEs on the roster, including Winslow, can really do that.

Yup. I've been saying for months that Hernandez is actually a better player than Gronkowski, because of the different layers that he adds to New England's offense.

If he's out when we go to Foxboro, I sure won't miss him.

Where does he fit into the offense? Maybe transition to more 3/4 WR sets?

There was a general feeling he would be brought back after the start of the season (when they don't have to guarantee the contract) since his locker was never emptied.

I'm guessing he's going to be the 4th receiver and they will run fewer 2 TE sets with Hernandez out.

^ Not sure if the Pats season is over, but I am sure you know the feeling of it, being a Jets fan for life as your name suggests.
