I love the replacement refs! Great calls. Just as a bad as the normal refs. It is called outsourcing.
I want the real refs back. But lets be fair - the real refs also make a lot of questionable calls. After 3 games every season in history had crazy ref calls that people question and bitch about. I say this because its getting annoying listening to the announcers piss and whine about the refs. Ya that was a bad call last that cost the Pack but even before that Gruden was crying like a baby about every call. Collinsworth did something similar in the Sunday night game.
^Collinsworth was a bitch in that game. At the beginning he's begging for flags saying the officials should throw some to get order, then when they finally do, he says, "oh I wouldn't have thrown a flag there!". Dude shut up. He complained when there were no flags, then he complained when there was a bunch. Just stop. At least be consistent about your bitching. Yeah, you know, these refs are terrible... but the old ones were still pretty bad. Not as bad where they blow obvious replay calls, but they still sucked. Goodell has to do something. Bring the old refs back, but make them full time employees that are actually held accountable for mistakes and have to take classes and practice making calls to get them right. The refs have been held to such low standards, nobody is shocked anymore about blown calls. Fix it, Goodell. Prove yourself instead of trying to pinch people for thousands of dollars when you run a multi billion dollar business. If not, invest in these new refs and do the same thing with training classes and everything else to get better. Make them watch videos of every game to see the issues and how they are seeing it. We don't want part time refs in a mega business like the NFL where every single play matters. We want full time trained professionals.
Where was this faux outrage when Ed Hochuli stole a game from the Chargers a few years ago? How about when the Seahawks had a ton of bad calls go against them in the Super Bowl. They may not have won the game but they really weren't givena shot. The offensive PI on Jeremy Stevens was awful and it negated the 1st score of the game OBTW costing me a prop bet in the process.
Everyone seems to forget that the regular season refs sucked too and caused more than their share of game changing blunders in recent seasons. Put all the regular season Refs back on the field next sunday and we'll be cursing all the stupid calls they make just like we are now. Fact is, if the refs are bad then they are bad for both teams, not just one. So in actuality all teams are playing under the same officiating. There is no benefit either team in this scenario.
old refs sucked. scab refs suck. the future will probably be 'refs' watching isolation cams on every player on every play in some air conditioned ball room in dallas. 'ref' watches the play in super slow mo....sees something he don't like...presses the red button. drone flies over head and drops a yellow flag. 'ref' fired for watching porn instead of watching his assigned player...bahahaha
We were supposed to go to the Superbowl that year, that was our year,we were supposed to have the revenge game on the Pack and bring home the Lombardi. It was all set the season was playing out like a perfect script and would have made the best America's Game the 2010 Jets with all the things that went on that season starting with Hard Knocks.Where did it all go wrong, why did we come out flat against Pitt, what happened that was our year and now we seem to be just making huge strides backwards.Oh well it is what it is right? Such is the life of a Jets fan
Hah! Forgot about this as well. Probably because what I remember most about this game was that there were HARDLY ANY JETS FANS IN ATTENDANCE. Felt like an away game. Sorry for shouting.
