it really pissed me off seeing him get another unsportsmanlike penalty for hitting a receiver like that. dude makes mental errors every game he touches the field, including the one on special teams today (even though the refs really shouldnt have called that at all) which is supposed to be his niche. i get that he stepped up when leonhard went down, but that was 2 years ago already. he played awful last year, and this year hes already impacted the game negatively. he needs to go.

I really don't see where he has any value to this team other than STs, but he even made a mental error there today. He shouldn't have been anywhere near the punter and we would have probably been down only 4 or tied at halftime.

Both of those IMO weren't penalties.
The RTK we all know wasn't a penalty..
The USC was all Shoulder pad downlow but the receiver was going down to and he got blasted.

Not like the Pittsburgh hit that was a spear to the face. This was all shoulder.
It wasn't late, But he made contact with his head.
Sooner or later you gotta give the defenders a chance to hit.
    It wasn't malicious.

Also, this is a direct tie to the Landry penalties....the word is out.
We puttin bitches in the turf.

Did it not piss you off when Landry and Bell have gotten them?

No, because they contribute to the success of the team more than they hurt it with penalties, blown coverages, mental mistakes.

I'll never understand how Smith was an all Big 10 academic kid because his football IQ is terrible. He has horrible instincts and isn't very good. This is nothing new and goes back to the Mangini days with him.

I disgaree with Royal in that both were penalties but the roughing the kicker should only have been running into which should have been a 5 yarder and not the auto 1st down. I guess you could say that penalty screwed Miami more the us though as Bush was injured on the next play and he shouldn't have been out there if the officials make the right call.

Does it matter? It's what safeties do. At least the ones capable of hitting hard.

Roughing the kicker was a phantom call, the kicker fell down to "sell" the contact, ala what defenders do in the NBA to draw charges.

That second penalty was all Eric's fault though.

he gets too many snaps, Ellis and Coples are better pass rushers and are consistently on the sidelines while DeVito is in doing shit

Devito while great on running plays should never be on the field in passing situations. Same could go for pouha.

Bart isn't what he was. Kind of like you. But he did rack up a couple of sacks.
