I can't remember an uglier victory by the Jets. I don't care it was the Dolphins. I don't care if the Dolphins missed two field goals, I don't care if the Dolphins made several big mistakes. Losing Revis is a humongous blow, and the Jets still had trouble running the ball. Still, gotta give Sanchez credit for making plays at the end after a long, horrible day. This was his 10th career 4th quarter comeback and 12th game winning drive. Tebow and all his nut-hugging disciples can go eat dicks. Tebow ruined the offensive flow on several occasions, especially in the red zone. Holmes played like the beast he needed to be, Kerley made some big plays. Hill needs to be better, but we'll give him the rookie mulligan. They needed this bad, and they need to get their shit together quick with SF and Houston coming to town.
completely agree i was so relieved after holmes catch, and i remembered what this quarterback is always capable of. keep the game close, and mark can win it for us. 2-1 and 2-0 in the division. sanchez and holmes are very clutch players. we need to get better pieces around them, but those two are a great pair to win games late.
Stop Using Tebow This is all on Woody and Tanny. They brought him in to sell tickets. Our offense is inconsistent enough; the last thing it needs is to have its rhythm disrupted by these Tebow packages. They don't fool NFL defenses; and they disrupt the offense's timing. Tebow needs to stay on the bench.
Sanchez caused 14 points to be left on the field. He threw a pick that resulted in 7 points for Miami and he threw a pick in the EZ which should have been 7 points for the Jets. Still he came back in crunchtime and got the job done. On a related note, San Fran lost to Minnesota 24-13 today which means they are a beatable team after all.
sanchez!!! one thing i know about the guy is no matter how bad he plays i know i can count on him on gamewinng/tying drives at the end of games and you guys have to love that about him!!
on a side note though, that package with tebow as a tight end or whatever isnt too bad. id like to see tebow actually make a reception when it hits him in the helmet though, but if we can get him the ball in space, well, we all know what that could mean.
Look at it this way....not many teams are 2-1 A lot if big teams are 1-2....it's early they need to. Lean things up but they aren't 0-3 or 1-2. They are 2-0 in the east so they are in a good spot
A win is a win. That's how I feel... about today's game. If you're asking me how I feel this game reflects on the Jets' chances going forward, well, it doesn't give me a warm, fuzzy feeling. Hopefully they can execute better in future games... Sanchez, specifically. Although, in fairness to Sanchez, I'm not sure I've ever seen so many dropped passes. Even if a lot of the throws weren't perfect, in a "normal" game, many/most of them get caught.
The win masks the obvious mediocre or less than mediocre core group.... And buys Tanny and Rex more time Not good .....
If Sanchez doesn't play like $hit most of the game, there wouldnt be a need for a 4th quarter comeback. Tebow didnt ruin the flow. The plays they have Tebow run are ruining the flow. Everytime he is in the game, they know its a run because Morano afraid to let him throw the ball. Hill has been terrible now for 2 straight games and like all preseason, he cant catch a damn cold.
So you count the preseason for Hill but skip over his great game 1 in a game that counts? Yeah that makes sense
That Game 1 showed what Hill can do, but doesn't minimize the problems he still has with beating press coverage consistently and drops. He's got issues to overcome before he puts up big numbers on a regular basis.
Yes or also known as a rookie. I was commenting on the poster who wanted to include games that don't count (The preseason) and not use a game that does count to judge Hill.
The jets played about as poorly as they could and pulled out a road win against a divisional opponent. Winning when you're not at your best is a great thing.
