Not sure losing BT and his contract would be the end of the world.

He's better then Pace imo. I'll be really bummed if he's not given another shot. I know he has talent although he hasn't had the chance to really show it lately. Probably better as a 4-3 edge rusher anyway.

One tiny step toward parting with our ancient LB corps.
Thanks for being a generally good dude and for not being a complete bust, BT.
If you had been a 4th round pick, you would be hailed as a triumph of the franchise scouting department......but you weren't, so you'll be hailed as a mild disappointment.

We don't blame you, we blame the terrible GMs that flock to the Jets front office.

    Take care and good luck.

Would have been awesome to have reed and revis in the secondary.

If he clears waivers, I can see him being back next week

does he have to clear waivers? he is a tenured vet,i think he automatically becomes a f.a.

    could be wrong though

He'll be re-signed, it would be dumb to cut a young player who has a higher chance of being claimed.

i see all the talk about the jets re-signing him.

if the jets lose him to waivers and did this just to save some dough I'm going to be pissed.

I saw on rotoworld that the jets may resign him next week. If they resign him does that mean that additional salary is paid? Would he get the vet minimum $435,000?

There are no waivers for vets.

I don't think this saves them anything other than a roster spot this week.

It only saves the roster spot as his 900k salary was guaranteed this year and he was a fa next year

Should I feel bad that the first thing that popped up in my head (before remembering BT's injured, that he'll prolly be resigned, etc) was:
"****, why couldn't it be Bart Scott?"

I'm just so fkin' tired of the pensioners' holiday inn club they've got going on the inside. Bart couldn't chase down a toddler with a million dollars in its diaper ffs

This should have been done a few years ago. Never liked him as a player. Another Bradway dud. The Jets still owe him 900,000 they should not have signed him when he was on the street. Tannenbaum has been off his game the last 2 years. Now he is carrying Landolt just like he carried Logan Payne almost all last year when he was injured only to cut him anyway.

The really painful thing was that we NEEDED a Safety at that point... and we passed.

Another in a long line 'Shake your head' moments...

Only they didn't just realize anything other than he's injured and they need a roster spot for a week. It's amazing how many missed this ...
