He had more drops Sunday than he should have in a season. He wants the ball and complains if he doesn't get it well you're not going to get any more balls thrown your way than you just got and you fuckin blew it.

From all reports it sounds like he was working hard this offseason and in training camp. Has really worked hard with the other receivers. Well then what the hell happened. I can live with him being a douche when he's a talented douche but if you fail to perform whats the point. He was getting open and Sanchez was finding him easily so it looked like the chemistry is there and there is definitely potential. Time to start catching the ball.

Should have had 100 yards and 2 TDs.

I would not be upset if Holmes was traded away.

Good receivers have bad games too. Yes Holmes dropping all those passes sucked. But he has made more good plays for this team than negative ones.

Last week Victor Cruz dropped 6 passes against the Cowboys. Shit happens you guys are just using this to spew your dislike for Holmes. This game doesn't define Holmes as a player. Outside of the bs that happened at the end of last season Holmes has not been a distraction. The Holmes hate is baffling to me.

Holmes and Bart Scott are a microcosm of everything that's wrong with the Jets right now. Overpaid, overhyped and under-productive.

No what really pissed me off his how arrogant he was where everytime he dropped a pass he had to flip out on the refs like someone was holding him. He drew a complete bullshit PI in the process but he did it every single time he dropped one. That is what pissed me off. He acted like a little bitch and represented our team terribly.

Some of those were legit though, Ike Taylor was holding but I agree that one pass interference call was bad but at that point we'd take it considering we had trouble moving the ball.

LOL. Next week Holmes will have a big game and everyone will be kissing his ass again. It's like a love/hate relationship with everybody on the Jets. Either they're a piece of shit who bitches and whines, or they are are the best players ever. Get a hold of yourselves!

Holmes is the biggest douchebag in football, and it absolutely cracks me up.

One benefit to the replacement refs: they were completely intimidated by a guy who dropped about 30 passes on Sunday.

HMMM, the same thing that happened to him in PIT. Reality is, Tone wil never see that HE is the problem. Some call it arogence, other call it stupidity!

If Holmes could channel is anger and use it the way a guy like L Coles did, he could be worth the money that he's being paid. LC was one of the toughest WR's the Jet's have ever had. Was he a likable guy, not really, but I always found myself rooting for him because he gave everything he had.

Holmes is way too inconsistent week to week. Two years ago he had some big games, and for them he was paid handsomely. Since he's signed that contract, have there been more good than bad moments? This isn't 'hate'. I don't hate anybody, certainly not a person that I've never met, but Holmes is guy that I grudgingly find myself rooting for only because he's a Jet.

Actually this game DOES define Holmes as a player. He continually lacks the focus (last year as well as his time with Pitt) needed to be CONSISTENT in the NFL. He gets run off his routs too easy with physical corners, has trouble holding onto the ball (both catching it and runiing with it, PHILLY game), and is an overall malcontent. I dont want this cancer on my team anymore. I hope Mark continues to FORCE him the ball and he drops it, highlighting what a dick he really is. Fuck you tone, fuck you in the ass!

Players have bad games, they're human it happens, i mean if this game defines Holmes, then does this game define Sanchez as a player too?

What you're failing to grasp is that those of us who are fed up with Tone are taking a lot more into account than just the drops. It's his attitude both on and off the field. When the opposing teams's CB (Ike Taylor) is bitching you out on national TV for calling for a PI flag after every play and I'm sitting there siding with that opposing player, it's a problem. There isn't a single thing he does with class. This is a lot more than just one game.

Cruz does not COST THE FUCKING GAME.

Santonio cost the Eagles game last year, fucked it up in Miami, and is STILL fucking things up.

Well duh. It's just becoming ridiculously redundant. You guys find any excuse to bring all the old stuff back up again and beat the dead horse constantly. And then in the same paragraph bitch out Holmes for complaining, when you guys are doing just as bad. Of course he was annoyed and disappointed after a loss. Holmes wants to win. Calling for flags helps them win. Tons of players call for flags during close situations. People just need to calm down. He had a rough game and was pretty well covered for most of it. Taylor is no joke.

Your problem with Santonio goes deeper than what you see on the field, you probably dislike Santonio already, so anything he does it seems to annoy you.

Outside of the stuff from the end of last year, when has tone ever been a problem? You act like tone is the only player that calls for PI, especially considering that Ike was holding him on a few plays so the calls were legit, outside of that one phantom call of course.

I don't care if Santonio doesn't show "class" just as long as he produces which he has done for the most part as a Jet.

If Cruz had caught a few of those passes then it's a different game. The Philly game and the 2nd Dolphin games were bad for Tone, but how about his game breaking play against the Dolphins in the first meeting in 2011? What about his game winning score in ot against the Browns in 2010, that clutch catch in the AFC divisional playoff game against the Patriots, he game winning catch against the Texans. He has had his good moments here too.

    to put it simply

santonio holmes is extremely talented and sometimes clutch and i love him for that, but he is also very obnoxious, arrogant, and represents the team poorly so i hate him. basically what im trying to say is, i dont give a shit what happens to him because he makes the team better talent wise, but he is annoying

You seem to be suggesting that Holmes cost the Jets the game. Really? All the other misplays don't count?

If that really is your position, you lose cred bigtime for that one.

The truth is if you take out the penalties he drew and that should have been called, as Pitt was playing him with very tight coverage, I count only two real drops. Yeah, they were disappointing, and he certainly had something far less than a good game, but it was one game, and he did have the TD and looked sharp early, he did draw four penalties and moved the chains by doing so, so those things need to be taken into account.

Yes you are right, I dislike him as he represents most of what is wrong with society today (a talented person who is paid above his worth and feels entitled, not to mention the arrogance, and elitist mentality that oozes DOUCHE bag). SO yes, anything he does usually seems to annoy me, if not most people in this world.

I can overlook most of his flaws as a person if he produces. What you seem to be forgetting is that Tone has not produced much beyond having Braylon or another legit receiver on his team.

To sum it up, I dislike Tone because he is a self-righteous, malcontent, #2 or #3 receiver, that has the dropsies (both trying to catch and running with the ball), who bitches and whines like a school girl who is just starting to spot in her panties.
He continually lashes out at the media (this is why they continue to hammer him any chance they get), his own team mates, and has yet to establish HE WAS AT FAULT last year in Miami.

*Note to #10, shut your fucking mouth (on the field and with the media), beat press coverage, catch the ball, secure the ball when and if you catch it, and be a good teammate. DO YOUR JOB!
