Have you noticed our team lacks some bad ass players The only guys who really talk and try to put fear in opposing teams is Bart Scott, fake hustle Santonio Holmes, fake hustle It mainly comes from your LB's or D-Line but we got a lot of quiet guys who lack intensity. Landry plays with that fire I like, Revis just goes about his business which I love Its just weird to see when we play such a hard nosed style and yet lack hard nosed attitude, it goes both ways
im sure how santonio puts fear into anyone, he can barely catch the ball and he doesnt talk crap about the other team, just his own
Stephen Hill and Shonn Greene fit the mold. Mangold and Moore too. I like the confidence Sanchez has shown for the most part. Holmes can suck a d***. On another note, anyone notice that every time Tebow is on the field, some player from the other team is in his ear. I wish Tebow would curse someone out. It would be epic. Choir boy to wild boy.
i made this same post monthes ago. if not for the Landry and Bell pick ups we wouldnt have any big nasty hitters. Im starting to think Rex is overrated, he embellishes on the true talent of his players, and hasnt proven o me he can selct play makers. (Remember Hill wasnt his pick, until after game 1...and he tried o make a joke of it) Right now i have to think twice about anything he says, even the commercials he make.
Yeah, I bought that bullshit DVD of his. What a crock. I like Rex , but the act is starting to wear thin.
If I am not mistaken, someone tried to hit Kenrick Ellis with a baseball bat and he shattered their face and almost went to jail. He also got in a fight during the Steelers game. So Ellis, Scott, Landry, Revis who is always quietly chirping, Cro who called Brady and @sshole, Eric Smith who cracked Boldin's face, etc., etc. And Rex. I think loud mouthes are NOT the problem.
I don't think it really matters as long as you go out there and perform. Like Anderson Silva...the guy just wins. He doesn't need to tallk about it. He knows what he wants to do and he does it, 'nuff said. As long as the Jets are running their offense and playing solid D, it's all good. The issue is they're kinda doing neither, except for some offense on a short field against Buffalo. Problem is, this D has given up 55 points and was supposed to be thr group keeping the Jets in games so we can win 17-14. Not happening so far...and that ain't good.
If Landry can calm down on the penalties he is the attitude on the defense Jets don't have any elite players on the line or LBs...they have good players that can get some push, control the run, and tackle...at times. You get Landry to lay out a QB or bush in the first quarter on Sunday and it will set a tone for the entire game.
Rex promised, day one, if anybody takes a swipe at Jets player, his players will take two swipes at them. So far, actually, Ryan, with all the talk, is a real nice guy if you ask me. Jets in general are nice guys too. Not the kind of mean-spirited guys you would expect from top-of-the-line defenses, or offenses. Two swipes? What swipe? When Timmons took a swipe at Sanchez, the WHOLE FUCKING TEAM went in fetal position and took all the beatings Steelers were willing to dish out. Just what the fuck, man. What the fuck.
same thing i was saying. we should have hit big ben in similar fashion and took a 15 yard penalty. you noticed that after that hit sanchez began to struggle? it was well worth the 15 yard penalty for the steelers.
Frankly, I was expecting some dirty chop block on Timmons AND head shot (or another knee shot) at Roethlisberger. Instead, Jets folded like cheap tents - that they are.
