Why did we pick up Blaylock? Was he supposed to be L. Jordans replacement and spell C.Martin once in a while and possibly be a full time back if Martin goes down?
We are really going to miss Martins pass blocking!

Not to mention the fact that he fumbled extremely rarely. Most fans look at YPC and believe that's all a RB's is responsible for. He won't be replaced any year soon.

Blaylock has done well running...blocking is a different story. Like I said before, blame our buddy Herm for holding on to dear life for Curtis and letting Jordan go. We should have restructured Curtis contract long ago and have Jordan play a lot more, equal carries. Have we done that, we would not be talking about it today.

Everytime when I think lamont jordan should be on our team I get sick to stomach. I cant believe we let that guy go. We shouldnt even be haviing this predicament right now.

Too big of a contract...there was no way we were gonna sign him with Martin coming off a year where he won the rushing title.

Its not so much that we let Lamont go that pisses me off... That part was unavoidable with his contract demands. Its the fact that Herm did not use him when our team was actually pretty good. We could have had a great backfield which might have helped the rest of the offense.

LaMont cost so much more than he deserved when we got rid of him

at the time, he wasnt worth it

cant spend starter money on a backup even if he is your future

Lamont would of cost us a fortune and were not gonna overpay for a backup running back plain and simple.

Yeah but Herm said the most important thing a coach can do is leave a team better than he found it.....so that dumpster out back at hofstra must be a mirage.

Lets face it...raj's nonsense posts just keep backing him more in to a corner with that mouth in kansas city.

Blaylock would have been that guy last season if he didn't break his foot. I think he is a good 3rd down back, and a really good change of pace back... but I just don't invision him as a starter. I think Houston can be a starter, but it is unknown. I think Barlow can be a starter too, and he at least has some experience as the #1 RB. I think Blaylock is a good player and is important to the team.
