I can't find a source on this anywhere, but it was on NFL network last night. They analyzed the best 5 offensive lines of week 1, and the Jets came out on top. 0 sacks, 0 QB hits, 384 total yard, with 118 rushing including 4 TDs. Good stuff! Just when we were thinking it was our biggest weakness. Stone Cold Austin Howard!
Doesn't surprise me. Even a serviceable RT makes a huge difference. Easy to hide weaknesses on the inside, much much harder to do it on the outside. I don't think any other OL in the NFL can boast about 3 probowlers on the line.
They have three Pro Bowlers. The RT we had previously was just so damn bad it made the rest of the OL bad.
Yeah I thought so as well. I think it was the flea flicker or that 'almost' TD pass to Holmes. It was one of those plays where Sanchez got hit immediately.
