A guy who loses the confidence of his coaches for "too many missed tackles and a knack for being out of place in coverage" ....THIS is the guy YOU think "can be a SOLID backup"? Really??? Really???? Why do some fans think we need to "look" at EVERY SINGLE LOSER BUST that gets cut from other teams??? Is it JUST for the thrill of starting a brand new, fresh thead with your name on it???
Former high draft pick who hasn't lived up to expectations and needs someone to give him a second chance. Sounds like it's right up Tanny's alley.
1. Change of scenery can do wonders. 2. The league is evolving into TE league. No reason not to take a look. 3. Ryan Salvage project could be at work again.
He was one of my favorite prospects coming out that year. He was a great tackler and solid in coverage... Not sure what happened in philly but I think it could be a solid move.
Who the Jets gonna cut to pick up this loser? I would not cut a player that been there all camp and now the first game to pick up a player that could'nt make it elsewhere. Yes maybe when a dreaded injury occurs but not until then.
I actually loved Kurt colmen coming out of ohio state and wanted the jets to draft him.Dude is fast, mean and can play both safety positions well.A rex ryan kind of guy.
Some team will pick him up, I doubt the Jets since we have Allen (PS) & Bush. Jarrett was a highly regarded player, hit like a freight train. The Eagles probably overdrafted him, he was more of a 3/4 Rd talent at best. I've heard he has terrible coverage skills, difficulity picking up the Eagles's defense and and was regressing.
It's worth pointing out that Juan Castillo has no fucking clue what he's doing as defensive coordinator, so there's some reason to believe that he could flourish under different coaches.
If you saw eric smith on the sidelines last week, you wouldn't be able to look into this guy fast enough. Sucks to say but he was barely able to walk from what I saw.
Why do you have to look at the sidelines to see him? Didn't you say in another thread how you live right down the street from him?
