Interesting article with video footage of how helpful LB can be for the Jets and how a trade is actually possible. The guy is currently 3rd string on the damn Bucs.... (unbelievable) I think we should give him a shot. What do you guys think? http://thejetpress.com/2012/09/02/is-legarrette-blount-a-possibility-for-the-new-york-jets/ [video highlights] http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=lyFXeMucxaw ....................... [Is LeGarrette Blount a Possibility for the New York Jets? Sep 2nd, 2012 at 2:30 pm by Alan SchechterJets Home » Jets » Is LeGarrette Blount a Possibility for the New York Jets? First, he is only 25 years old, with not that many carries under his belt. He has plenty of carries left in his career. At 6’0″ 247, he can take the pounding of the NFL. We will stand up to the licks he will take with sharing the carry load. Although LeGarrette Blount is only entering his third season in the league, the time he has spent in the NFL has been successful. In 2010, he became one of only two undrafted running backs in history to rush for 1,000 or more yards in his rookie season, rushing for 1,007 on only 201 carries. Although his numbers did regress some in 2011, he did rush for a 4.2 yard average per carry. His season was also slowed down by an injury that took place in week 5. He obviously needs to be healthy for the Jets to consider such a move. If he is, they must......]
I'd take a chance on him. I have him as a backup on my fantasy team, so it'd be nice if he'd get some use
He's a powerback, perfect for us! HORRENDOUS pass blocker, but he'd be a great compliment with Mcknight and Greene, and he has a bit more UMPH than SG. As a third stringer I think we can pry him away for a 5th too.
Isn't this the guy who wouldn't wake up for practices? Can we please stop trying ot get other teams' trash? The Bucs aren't a good football team....and we want their third string running back? Cmon Man
Blount I'll pass, we need an all around RB matter fact we got one in Powell but only gave him 3 carries
blount was the player who punched another player in the face in college. it was mad funny but he got in big trouble.
Blount is not going to change the look of this offense at all, and is not a step up from Green in any way. Add to that the horrible things he brings attitude wise and I want this guy no where near the locker room or the NY media. No fucking thanks.
Omg jets fans are ridiculous sometimes. I live in tampa so let me tell you this. He can't pass block, has fumble issues, can't catch, and is only good in the second half of games. For every highlight run he has, he lacks vision and goes down way easier than he should at his size. If people want to crucify greene for similar things they'd be pulling their hair out watching blount
I would be for this guy. He's a douce bag... But he would help this team win because my confidence level in Greene is extremely low. His biggest problem was putting the ball on the ground, but look at Greene sunday- he fumbled twice.
