I expect rex and pettine to take a more coverage approach to the game rather than blitz a bunch of times.
Who cares about talent? We are talking hot pieces of ass here. While I don't think any guy would turn down Underwood, I'd take Hill over her. Lambert doesn't even belong in the conversation.
The #1 thing I'm worried about isn't the Steelers D, it's Big Ben scrambling and converting 3rd downs all day in spite of our good coverage. We need Maybin with his quickness to rush Big Ben on 3rd downs.
Looks like Steelers offense just knows how to stay on field. Happened a few years ago during the playoff game too. Getting off the field on 3rd down would be a premium for the defense.
These running backs love bouncing to the outside and Big Ben has killed the Broncos with by scrambling and moving. I am worried about that offense. Like the above poster said, they get timely 3rd downs including 3rd and long consistently
I would never underestimate the Steelers. Overestimate and a W is icing on the cake. Old or not, Pitt is a consistent playoff team. The Jets are close but not at the top of the list just quite yet. I dislike Ben but he's a winner no matter how shitty his stats are.
I'm gonna go out ina limb here and say Hill will be big in our next game. Especially I'd Taylor is on him. I think Taylor us pretty good, but he struggles against Demaryius Thomas who plays very similar to Hill.
If we run the ball like we did today, it's going to be a long day. Steelers will smack Sanchez around It will be a tough game even if we do win because the Steelers D is always tough. But without the help of the running game, i don't think Sanchez will be able to just drop back and throw it around at ease, like he did earlier today
Denver's OL is giving Peyton plenty of time and he's picking them apart. If we give Sanchez the same protection he got today, we should be able to make plays. What worries me is how hard their backs run, and finish every run. Arm tackles and those stupid halfass hits without wrapping up aren't going to get it done against these guys.
I count the Pittsburgh game as one we really stand to lose but still walk away from the season 10-6 or 11-5. However, after seeing the Jets play today I think we have an excellent shot at winning. The biggest issue, as others have touched on, is the ability to make solid tackles. There were a few shitty attempts today that made the difference on a few big plays for Buffalo. Plus a possible Revis absence could really hurt us.
No doubt about it, Pitt is going to be hungry as hell after this loss. We are going into their house for their home opener, it will not be the cake walk we had today by any means. Next week I think will tell us a lot more about what the JETS are going to be like this season than this week. That said I'm ready for some big time smash mouth next week.
