he wasn't good enough to make the team. 6th rd pick who was inconsistent. Powell was better. They probably would have put him on the practice squad if he cleared. but he didn't. best of luck to him w/Schotty & WFH in St. Louie.
Yep. Don't need more than four. The five DT's leave us flexibility to get back into a 3 man front at times, but the 4 man front will be our "base".
Aren't Pace and Thomas undersized though? WOuld've reallt preferred to have Richardson stick around. We have so many NTs now...
Manish Mehta @MMehtaNYDN Cutting Marcus Dixon, a valuable piece of the Jets' defensive line, to save $150K is absolutely ludicrous. #nyj Jenny Vrentas @JennyVrentas RT @judybattista: RT @slmandel: “@LATimesklein reporting Joe McKnight allegedly received cash/perks at USC.
interesting to see Gates and Aaitui come in from the fins. The Sparano connection. manish mehta is upset but i'm not. Aaitui has looked strong this preseason. I will trust Rex over Manish Mehta.
Tonys MO when with the Fin's was to pick-up all of Dallas's trash...now he's pickin thru the leftover's.
I guess I'm perplexed to know what is really going on. Was the best available WR and TE Gates and the TE from Frisco? How much do we really know about them? We let Dixon go for 150K....? Do any of the guys we picked up represent an upgrade over the ones we let go? So far it does not seem to be the case.
I'm not going to discuss wether it's stupid or not from a talent standpoint (I'm not a scout)... it's WHY he's gone thats stupid (150k $). We need a football man running this team... I'm starting to believe this more and more.
Trust Rex???? "Hunter is the best back-up tackle in the league", "We will win the Super Bowl", "We are not trading Wayne Hunter", etc. etc. etc. He has little credibility when he opens his mouth.
Does anyone for sure know that Dixon was released because of the 150k, or is that just the media taking a guess? Cut Antonio Allen.
Agreed. A great Capologist was the MO. Now has been around scouting, player development for some time. He has some experience but not his expertise.
It's all conjecture by the same clowns that over react to every move made by the Jets. They need to get a clue or get lost.
When does the heat start hitting Tannenbaum? Picking up a receiver that reminds us of Clowney, really? I'm not going to get into the Tebow trade, one of the dumber decisions made, but when does Woody start realizing that he has done a poor job organizing this team?
