Has anyone seen this? Hahaha http://content.usatoday.com/communi...n-tannenhill-doesnt-know-the-nfls-divisions/1
LOL that was pretty pathetic but it is a good thing knowing the divisions is not a requirement to be a good QB
I'd rather bash Tannehill for his play, but since he hasn't played a regular season game yet, I can't. I thought it was lame when the announcers of the Mia-Dal game brought this up. And for anyone who wants to disagree, when Curtis Martin was drafted by the Pats, he admitted that he had never watched an NFL game in it's entirety... and if there was a way to do it, I'd bet my 401k that he didn't know any of the teams in his division either. This doesn't mean anything.
It actually means a lot when he has been living the NFL 24hrs a day since April. Before the draft it was fine to not know anything.
I live down here in Texas. The line where he talked about not caring about pro football in Texas couldn't be more true. I moved down here about 2 years ago and these people couldn't care less about the pros. They live and die for college and high school ball. If given the opportunity, people down here would much rather go to a high school game than a pro game. No one cares, its incredible.
Yeah, I'm in San Antonio, even though it's trendy to root for Dallas, none of them really give a shit about pro football until 5 minutes before the game status.
Yest another reason we should anex Texas. Fuck thoese right wing, relgious, gun sporting, yellowbellys!
Yeah I saw this too. Watching Hard Knocks, I actually liked him from what I could gather watching him. This is pretty bad though lol. You could see Matt Moore's facial expression screaming "THIS is the guy who is playing over me?!?!" Really funny stuff to watch and pick up on.
For realz. He gets paid to play QB for Miami, not study NFL divisions..but it is kinda funny to me as a football fan that an NFL player wouldn't know what divisions are which.
I'm not really going to bash him for not knowing the divisions, but I will question whether his lack of knowledge of the pro game will affect his on-field performance in certain situations unique to the NFL... Will he have clock management issues with the NFL play and game clock? Will he forget about the two minute warning and blow a time out? Will he have trouble in overtime? Etc. Just some things to think about because the divisions are pretty basic knowledge and in the heat of the moment he might lose track of some of the more intricate rules.
holy shit, of all the dimwitted dumb fuckery you have ever posted, this one actually takes the cake. do you actually think the Dolphins are giving him lessons and quizzes on NFL division and conference alignment and not working solely on what he needs to know to be a good QB on the field? what a fucking joke.
have you watched hard knocks? shes not exactly the brightest bulb in the box... just sayin... shes absolutely gorgeous, but thats besides the point.
this isnt really a big deal, but i would think at this point in his career he would know the divisions. i mean, i would think most fans would know the divisions pretty well right? its not that hard, there are only 32 teams. if its your job i would think that you would at least pay attention to what division you might be playing in. it shouldnt affect his play, but it could be a sign to his work ethic.
