I saw that Denver released Jeremiah Johnson. He's a smaller back who showed pretty good speed and hands coming out of the backfield during limited playing time last year. He had a pretty good YPC although he didn't really have a ton of carries. ( I see a lot of Denver games being from Colorado)
And what if the player doesn't agree to it, does he sit the year out? Isn't that why there is a claim process? Otherwise everybody cut would just be a free agent. I think that is why NE gave Branch his unconditional release rather than just cut him..so he could pick his team.
Plus he played in the TebowCat formation with Denver. That would be like pouring gasoline on the fire as far as the media is concerned. That would solidify that Tebow will be the starter, at least in the minds of the talking heads.
Eagle cuts: O.J. Atogwe just can't stay healthy. He is the human hamstring pull. Mat McBriar was punting low line drives most of the time. It looks like he never fully recovered from his injury. Marvin McNutt can help someone. So can Joselio Hanson...I'm a bit surprised at that one, but Boykin wasn't going to be denied a spot on the team.
Most of the media are morons, but yeah you're right. He received most of his playing time when Mcgahee and Moreno went down, but he put up 77 yards in 14 carries. I think he was brought up from the practice squad when Moreno went down early in the season and was 3rd on the depth chart behind McGahee and Ball.
Kellen Winslow released by Seattle: Does he have anything left? http://nfltraderumors.co/seahawks-waive-te-kellen-winslow/
If this was a wheelchair league he'd have plenty left, but since this is the NFL where you're required to use your legs I'd say no he has nothing left IMO.
