I have 3 more leagues to draft in but I just finished this one up last week.

16 team draft, standard scoring settings (non PPR).

    QB: Philip Rivers, Matt Schaub.
RB: Ray Rice, Willis McGahee, Rashard Mendenhall, Bernard Scott
WR: AJ Green, Mike Wallace, Michael Crabtree, Kendall Wright (this kid should be a steal), Brandon LaFell
    TE: Tony Gonzalez, Greg Olsen
    D/ST: Seahawks
    K: Mike Nugent

I think its solid all around for such a big league. I'm hoping to upgrade at RB if Schaub or Rivers has a big start and also betting on Olsen having a big year.

I don't like drafting WRs from teams that have many good ones, regardless of how great their QBs are. So there is pretty much no chance I'll spend a high draft pick on NE or GB recievers (e.g. Jennings). Spending low pick on WR3-WR4 from those team doesn't make sense either. Consequently, I pretty much never end up with anyone from GB or NE.... admittedly in the case of NE there is a lot of my anti-Pats bias.

Now, I know that guys like Welker or your Jennings will produce, but I'd rather go after WR on teams with clearly defined top duo, like in ATL, for example.. Please don't get me wrong, I know this is VERY unconventional and I by no means poo-pooing your Jennings.

As to your question... look up if Ronnie Brown, Isaac Redman (probably not) and Jacquizz Rodgers (ATL's RB2 -- should be available) are available. Turner is old and injury-prone. I have a feeling he won't last more than 4-6 games. If you pick Rogers -- there is your jackpot.

I'm sure Brown will be a starter sometime this season. As to the trade offer...
He won't give me anything high for a backup RB and I'm already stacked up otherwise. I'm leaning toward waiting for Mathews to break down and then offer a trade. The risk of course is that he'll stay healthy.

Here's how my main league shook out (12 team Yahoo 2/2/flex):

QB - Matthew Stafford, Russell Wilson (took him as a lottery ticket/trade bait...if Stafford goes down I'm hosed anyway)

RB - Jamaal Charles, Willis McGahee, David Wilson, Cedric Benson, Alfred Morris (lottery ticket pick...probably end up dropping)

WR - Jordy Nelson, Torrey Smith, Pierre Garcon, Titus Young, Nate Washington

    TE - Aaron Hernandez

    K - Matt Bryant

Def - Dallas (I really wanted the Jets, but someone apparently did a joke draft and took Jets D in the 4th, along with Tebow in the second, and Burress...so I took the other Ryan)

Kind of love my receivers, kind of hate my running backs, but they seem like such a crap-shoot anyway so I went for guys with a real shot at staying the feature back due to injury or the fact that there's nobody else (ie Benson in GB).

So I decided to mess around and joined a NE Patriots league. My team is the NJ Coples. They were bitching during the draft, it was pretty funny. I ended up getting the #1 pick in a snake, which I'm not all that fond of, but I think it worked out well. I grabbed Aaron Rodgers as #1. I also got some good value on late round Jets picks because nobody wanted them.

    QB - Aaron Rodgers,
    RB Adrian Peterson
    RB Frank Gore
    WR Wes Welker
    WR Brandon Marshall
    TE Tony Gonzalez
    FLEX Vincent Jackson
    D/ST Jets D/ST D/ST
    K Matt Bryant, Atl K

    BENCH:
    DeSean Jackson
    Ben Roethlisberger
    Shonn Greene
    Santonio Holmes
    Sidney Rice
    Pierre Thomas
    Dustin Keller

I know people are probably going to say I picked too many Jets, but they are bench players, so no biggy, plus the value was good at the time. I think Keller will eventually start, though.

    Where are you seeing that?
The post before yours was from a guy who drafted Russell Wilson. No way anyone did that in July.

As you know many things are personal opinion and a lot depends on who was available in each round, so take the below with a huge grain of salt.

1st, I think you drafted Def too early. Most leagues had nice D/ST available in 13-14th rounds. What's more, I think BAL def will take a step back this year, so it's possible that you've waisted a too high pick on a sub-par D.

You drafted Vick in 5th when I'm sure there were much better QBs available. My take is that you like Vick and I think this is a mistake. He was decent until NFL Ds didn't figure out how to deal with him. Add to that his customary annual injury and you got yourself a bust at QB at a pretty high pick. To add to this, your backup is Wilson who has 2 problems going for him: he's an unproven rookie and there is a chance he might loose his starting job to Flynn. I strongly advice you to get rid of Wilson and pick up Sanchez from the waivers. Normally I'd avoid Mark who is bound to loose some production to Tebow via wildcat, but in your case he should be a better option than what you have.

Other than that, you drafted well. Unfortunately, your QB situation is bad IMO. If you didn't make playoffs in yor league it will be because your QBs so you gotta hope Vick will pan out. I'd grade your team pretty high, but because of QBs, can't give it more than B or B-.

Honestly I agree with you 100% my qb situation is def the weak part of my team. Other than that Im really pumped for my players.

When Vick was available in the 5th I figured hes too good of a player to keep passing up. He is most certainly a BOOOOOOM or busT player. I figured if he doesnt work out, theres enough solid qbs left over in a 10 person league that I could grab someone that will post 14-17 points a week at that position.

Russel Wilson was purely drafted because if hes the next wild card rookie QB I want him on my bench, no other qbs were worth drafting because theres gonna sit in free agency until they show something.

Im trying to trade a lot of solid players to grab tom brady. If I cant im attempting to get maclin for the vick connection.

Are there any of the lesser qbs that you think would be offering vick up for? such as

    Jay Cutler
    Tony Romo
Philip Rivers ( a little bit upper tier )
Peyton Manning ( Im very high on a great comeback season )

Think these would be an upgrade to vick?

Also Rashad Jennings worth a week 1 start?

Thanks for the feedback, post your team love to do the same.

This is my 2nd and last draft.
10-team, 0.5-pts PPR, drafted 6th. One notable thing about this league is that Def numbers are based on yards, not points. I actually like it, this way offense giving opponent a short field does not reflect poorly on your D. Additionally, there are a lot of bonuses for defense and so last year it was not uncommon to have D give you as much points as WR2 or RB2 (mid-high teens).

    Tom Brady, NE, QB
    Matt Forte, CHI, RB
    Jamaal Charles, KC, RB
    Dez Bryant, DAL, WR
    Brandon Marshall, CHI, WR
    Eric Decker, DEN, WR
    Isaac Redman, PIT, RB
    Brandon Pettigrew, DET, TE
    Jared Cook, TEN, TE
    Malcom Floyd, SD, WR
    Josh Freeman, TB, QB
    Ronnie Brown, SD, RB
    Jets D/ST
    Packers D/ST
    Rob Bironas, TEN, K
    Jacquizz Rodgers, ATL, RB

Neither, IMO. I'd hold off on Helu until Shanahan figures out who he'll call starting RB. Brown is a better option between 2 you're considering, but I'm holding off on Indie until Luck is a bit more established. Besides, they are playing Chicago, ranked top 5-6 run defenses, so I wouldn't expect Brown to do well.

I'd start Braylon Edwards. He's explosive & Arizona has poor pass defense.

Petersen and Manning are both one hit away from another season ending injury, I hope that you're up for that since they are your starters. And isn't Helu still hurt?

my 2nd and final draft, have mixed feelings on it, 12 person league, 3rd pick
starts 3 wr, 2 rb, flex

    QB - Rivers, Cutler
RB - Foster, Mathews, Murray, Tate, Spiller
WR - Maclin, Cobb, Wright, Hill (might drop for Henderson of NO) Sanders
    TE - Gates, Cook
    D - Giants
    K - Bryant

Absolutely love my RBs, especially for a 12 team, my TE is stacked, and my QB is good as well, however my WRs are weak, and I have to start 3, thinking of grabbing Henderson because I think he's a safer week one start than some of my guys, I'm going to be very busy on the waiver wire at wr as well as trying to move spiller, or a qb or te if things go right for me
