    http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap10...ilson-than-sanchez?module=HP11_headline_stack

Braylon Edwards has been around a few talked-about rookie quarterbacks in his time. Edwards was with Brady Quinn on the Cleveland Browns and Mark Sanchez with the New York Jets. Sanchez was an immediate starter, just like Russell Wilson is for the Seattle Seahawks.

So does Edwards see any similar things between Sanchez and Wilson?

"I see better things," Edwards told Doug Farrar of Yahoo's Shutdown Corner.

That's no surprise. While Sanchez had his moments in 2009, he's never displayed the kind of awareness and playmaking ability that Wilson showed during the 2012 preseason. Yes, it's only the preseason. But jobs are won in the preseason; highly paid free-agent acquisitions get benched because of the preseason.

    He's absolutely right.

Braylon made Sanchez in 2009/10, not the other way around.

I'm still so pissed that we didn't bring back Braylon. Watch as he plays amazing this year, and Sanchez continues to be a dick and lose us games on stupid mistakes and interceptions.

I must have missed the "diss" in that quote.

Fucking reporters will make a headline out of anything at the moment.

    This is hardly a diss.

I haven't seen any Seahawks games this preseason, but from what I've read, Wilson's done a tremendous job, obviously good enough to beat out a QB that the team paid a lot of money for only a few months ago. The headlines imply Braylon thinks Sanchez is awful, but the story implies he thinks Wilson is ahead of where Sanchez was in his rookie year.

Not to mention it's not the first time a player has backed the QB of his current team instead of his former. When Jason Taylor was asked who was better between Sanchez and Henne in 2010, his reply might as well have been, "I play for the Jets now... Sanchez."

Hardly a diss. He's supporting his current QB, as he should.

why would anybody care what bray's opinion is? Maybe Bray should focus on trying not to suck this season like he did last season.

I like braylon edwards and would love to have him back but he thinks he is really worth more then he is and that's why he left us.I think when his contract is up at the end of the year.He is gonna demand more $$$ then the seahawks wanna pay and he will be somewhere else playing for the vet min.Meanwhile he could have stayed there for the same money.

That's not really a diss. He's just supporting his current QB. Nothing to see here.

Somewhere GMCJets just stabbed himself in the eye with a spork, further realizing BE isn't coming back.

I agree with the fact that he's just supporting his QB, but also what would Braylon know about good QBs.

If Braylon went to Carolina and said that about Cam Newton would that be seen as a diss? Or is it only looked at as a diss cause the guy's never played an NFL game before?

Then what was he supposed to say here?

"No. Sanchez is much better QB than whatever we've got here." of this sort to not be seen as a diss? Just who in his right mind will say such a dumb thing anyway??

He didn't even say that Wilson is better than Sanchez. He just said he is ahead of where Sanchez was as a rookie.

Stupid thread. Only an idiot would read this article and see Braylon's quotes as an insult to Sanchez.
