Everybody and their grandma's wanted Hunter gone. Now he's gone you are all crying that the player we got for him sukks. AAron Mayhem also sukked before Rex got a hold of him. Also this kid is only what 26 years old. He actually might have an upside. Mr T. did what we all wanted and got rid of Hunter. That alone deserves a thank you anyway!
I don't even know how to respond to this. Am I mad he didn't call someone out in the media and said they have played terribly? I'm guessing you have complained about Rex talking about how he feels he has the best in the past (the truth) and now you are complaining he was potentially lying? You usually have some good posts for an opposing fan but this was an abomination. Rex said this 4 days ago. Maybe Tanny in those 4 days found someone willing to take Hunter and get something in return and oh man we traded him. But no, you think Rex said those things while talking with STL on the phone looking to trade him?
Lol it's not Rex's fault. Our GM Tanny is a born liar. He's done it so many times right before cutting players or trading them that we usually assume any insurance he gives is BS. I don't love it but at least it's some sort of "f*ck you" to our annoying NY media.

I'll have to do some homework on Smith. All I know is the Rams line get every QB that stood behind it killed last season. It was so bad they signed Kellen Clemens to finish out the season for them. In any case, anything is an upgrade over what we had so I'm happy for that.
Great trade -- we're not even giving up a pick. We lose one of the worst RTs in the league who is past his prime in exchange for a legitimately average one who is much younger....and we only have to pay 1.5 million more for him. Loving this.

It was a terrible question. It makes no sense because we don't know if Rex is lying first off. There might have been 0 trade talks and serious talks to have Hunter as an extra TE (like he played in the preseason game the day after) and then trade talks happened. You speculated he's lying and then acting like no other coach lies. Pretty bad question
Smith isn't anywhere near an average RT. Biggest knock on the kid is that he just doesnt grasp the mental aspect of the game.
